No. Being objective would be putting your personall alleigances aside and saying that Tebow is a great college football player who has given back to the community (which he is). Not being objective would be, well, saying something like droski said.

You want me to pull one up from your past? Sure, maybe he doesn't know a coach. Maybe he just randomly gets his kicks by taunting UT fans. And rather bringing up the thrashing Cal delivered not too long ago, he prefers to hop into threads about recruits that probably won't go to UT and make comments that aren't really even very insulting.

Tebow is dumb. I think he's a good guy, but so was Forrest Gump. Pretending Tebow is some sort of genius just because he's a good guy is absolutely not being objective.

No one here expects him to come to UT. This isn't about that. This is about a kid that has done nothing but praise this university and it's players, be a stand-up guy in his community, and more than accommodating and cordial in every public appearance and yet he's being ripped needlessly and without proof.

No one is going to buy that stock.

Put me down for a share. Gerald Jones was the same way and he's had his problems with focus. There maybe something we aren't seeing in public appearances.

I just don't understand the "shock" that you and some others have shown at the reaction to the comment. I expected worse to be quite honest.

Gerald Jones is not and has never been a "head case."

Some clarification by Droski on what he means, examples, or anything at all backing it up would have been nice. You'll notice that I have continually said this. I don't have a problem with what he said. All I am saying is back it up. Otherwise you'll see the posts you have seen in this thread and, again, I honestly don't get the "shock" that some of you exhibit.

If he listed who he heard it from or what exactly he meant by it, we likely wouldn't be having this conversation. It's not what he said alone, it's the absence of the other things I've mentioned.

I know what his GPA is. I went to grad school with people sporting 4.0 undergrad resumes that were dumb as rocks. Grades aren't everything, especially when you're majoring in family and community sciences.
