Its just not fair. I mean USC has all this around them. Same for Fla and Texas. Its crazy. I would love to get Riley, but i dont see it happening now.

well when you have won the pac 10 title year in and year out and got a few NC's to go with that its not hard to see why recruits give them their pledge.

7/27 Rivals update

I'm really thinking about Tennessee and Notre Dame. They aren't leading for me, and I don't have any favorites, but they are the two schools recruiting me the hardest. I get letters from Tennessee every day.

If you consider, that he brings up Tennessee in every interview without being prompted, Vol fans have to like their chances with landing Riley.

I'm not confident as you that we get him but this kid seems like he would be able to pick up where EB left off when he leaves after this year. I don't know if he will be as good as EB but he should be an awesome DB.

I'll answer that for you. No. Will be a long time before we see another DB as EB on the Vols. Maybe never again.

There isn't a more versatile player out West than Dietrich Riley (La Canada, Calif./St. Francis). Riley, a natural safety, has stood out at every camp he has attended this year. He worked out with the running backs, receivers and defensive backs at the SoCal NIKE Camp and lead NIKE Camp RB coach Jake Campbell called him the best back he worked out at any camp this year.

At the USC Rising Stars Camp, he took reps at both safety and corner and has the size, athleticism and talent to play any of the four positions at the college level.

Riley has long been thought to be a heavy USC lean with much speculation that he could even be a 'silent commitment' at this time.

"I like USC but I haven't committed anywhere," Riley said. "There were rumors that I committed to USC and to Tennessee and neither are true. I honestly don't know where people get their information but I had all these people on Facebook asking me about that and it's just not true.

"I want to take all my trips but I don't have any dates set right now. I know I'll visit Notre Dame and Tennessee but I don't know what other schools I'll visit after that."

Ok so is Dietrich definitely being recruited as a Safety? I saw he excelled as a WR and RB also

He's really the only recruit that I talk to that is out of state. We talk on Facebook and he told me to get it over with and do it now. He doesn't think I should wait to hear from other schools. He thinks I should be a Vol too."

On USC....

"They got a commitment from another safety; Dion Bailey," Riley said. "They haven't really been recruiting me much lately. Not like Tennessee. No one is recruiting me like Tennessee is."
