"You can write that Ohio State is definitely leading on my list right now. I'm not saying I'm going there, or I'm not going there, but I've been around those coaches so much that now I just need to decide whether it is the best place for me, or it's not. I probably have more information to make an intelligent decision than most out-of-state recruits because I've been there so much, and they're my leader today."

Per Scout... OSU now leads. Mos Def said last week that UF had passed OSU for Joyner's #2 team lol...

This kid is the definition of a drama queen. If you look at his ESPN on the trail page he changed his mind like a million times.

"Florida is back in the mix," Joyner said. "I've been dealing with Florida for the past two months, and Florida really has things laid out, so they're up there now too. That's my top three."

Joyner broke down his thoughts on his top three schools.

Florida State: "Great program, great history, everybody talks about Deion Sanders and Terrell Buckley, and all of that is good but things change. It's not the same FSU as it was in 99 and 2000, those years. They have the potential with the athletes, and the prospects that they recruit, as well as myself to go in and help the program, to turn it back into that powerhouse. If it wasn't for Coach James Coley early on in the process I almost got lost from FSU because of the probation with everyone bad mouthing them. Coach Coley and Mickey Andrews, those guys, I've been up there a few times, they explained it to me, and that"

Ohio State: "Coach Tressel, Coach Haynes, Coach Johnson, you don't want to go anywhere unless you like your position coach. Coach Haynes is a great guy. They have a great alumni base over there, great people, and a great environment. I just feel that if I were going to Ohio State that I would be set for life not only on the field but off the field."

Florida: "They just have everything that Ohio State and Florida State have, plus they're winning national championships."

After FSU's loss to USF today.
- Lamarcus Joyner:
"Thats shocking man! I have to give the coaches a call... That's a downer." and.. "I'm pretty upset about that one."

According to everyone up here.....he has already committed to the Bucks. It is on the DL cause they are still trying to get another big time CB recruit.

Yeah that's also the sentiment down here in Florida. Any reasonable UF fan knows we are a distant third and only have a puncher's chance and more than likely he ends up at OSU

Would rather him go to tOSU & lose every big game he plays in than go to Florida & play against him every year.

Should be a great matchup this week as STA plays Miramar and Ivan McCartney. Joyner or Riggs vs. McCartney would be awesome to watch.

Is there any new info on Joyner?

OSU more than likely.

There have been mentions of ND because I believe one of his teammates committed there, but I doubt with the way their season has gone they have much of a shot.

Florida is still recruiting him hard, but it would be quite a surprise for him to end up at UF. Something amazing would have to happen on his visit, but I would be pleasantly surprised if he came to UF. It's just not happening.

edit: should also mention Florida State because they were his leader at one point, but with the downfall of that program I think they don't have much of a shot now.

Ohio State. Chris Carter is one of his coaches. I think he's recruiting for OSU. At least we got Palardy out of there.

Just an FYI from someone close to this recruitment, Tennessee was making serious ground before the OTL segment. I don't know whether it was NCAA mandated or not, but for whatever reason the Tennessee coaches told LaMarcus after the incident that he could not attend UT unless he walked-on.
