Tennessee: "I like them because of their new (defensive) coach up there, Monte Kiffin. He was a great defensive coach when he worked for the Tampa Bay Bucs. I know they need defensive players so that would out good for me."

"It is too early right now to name a leader," Stripling said. "I do like Tennessee a lot though basically because of their defensive coach. I know they will develop you real well. I really like them right now. I would also put Georgia up there, I really liked their Junior Day when I went up there."

Bulldogs are the team to beat here w/ FSU and UT knocking on the door. In spite of being in final six, Gators have no shot with this guy.

Look for Florida and Georgia to battle it out for defensive end T.J. Stripling (Decatur, Ga./Southwest DeKalb). He was impressive at the Athens Nike Camp this past weekend and has offers from most of the major programs in the South.

Among those attending the scrimmage included Georgia's Rodney Garner and Bryan McClendon, along with Tennessee's Ed Orgeron and a coach from Mississippi State.

Per Rivals... Coach O was there at a SW Delkab scrimmage to watch TJ STripling, Kendrun Malcome, and Jonathon Mincy...

Athletic and tall. Should probably be a basketball player, but hey we'll take him.

He was dubbed the fastest "lineman" at camp wasn't he?

At 6'6" and 210lbs...wonder if CLK can't give him a look at WR or TE...where he could likely make an impact as a freshman?

Man, this kid came to camp to show what he was made of and made a big impression on the staff. I figured he would have been a little bigger than the 215 weight posted in his profile. At 6'6" 210 is stick thin. I hope we get this kid to wear the O&W uniform next year.

"They are definitely one of my top schools," Stripling said. "I don't have a top school, but I'm doing a lot of research on everyone. I haven't decided my officials yet, but they are probably going to get one of them."

He probably was the fastest when it came to straight ahead speed but the two "quickest" in my opinion were Miller and Smith.

"Georgia is there as one of my top schools, they always have been," admitted Stripling. "I am also looking at Tennessee, Florida State, Florida, Clemson, and Alabama. I plan to be up at Ohio State next week, and I think that is all we have planned for the summer."

This defense was ranking #3 in the nation last year, and why he wouldn't want to play for Monte and CEO is odd to me
