It is just his mindset in general. He really seems to have done a 180 on us for whatever reason. It is almost exactly like Greg Reid. Reid committed to us early, loved us from the start, was recruiting for us like crazy....then all of a sudden he completely dropped us and sort of got pissed whenever someone asked him about Florida. It's weird but that is happening with Elam right now. The only answer is that someone is in his ear about early playing time. Someone is telling him that he would be better off at a place where he can start from day 1. Florida can't offer that and Elam knows.

The kid won't be a Gator.

Yeah its not like this will abruptly end the Gators success. Hopefully it will just make the Tenn-Fla rivalry better. Granted we have to get him first...but you know what I"m sayin...

Oh yeah, if he leaves then whatever. Our recruiting class is going to be amazing this year. Anything less then a Top-2 finish would be upsetting. Urban has this thing rolling. We didn't miss Greg Reid and we won't miss Matt Elam.

Yeah i mean were gonna be in there with you guys every year now its gonna be fun its not like you guys are just gonna completely out recruit us.

The gators will be fine without Elam, regardless of which other school he decides to attend. If he picks the Vols, this is more of a perception vs reality issue...in reality, UF may not miss him, but the perception that Corch Meyers lost another commit, and a gator 'lock' at that, to Kiffin will sting.
