Nice to see coaches and players are seeing through this smoke screen Meyer has deployed. And Elam is a talent that you dont pass on. With proper coaching he could become a great player for whomever he plays for.

I am starting to hear that Elam may try to enroll early at Tennessee and is trying to get Gerald Christian with him. I hope it isn't true but that is the rumor (although it is flimsy) as of now. I also heard he would be going to FSU as well so who really knows at this point.

That's the way I look at it as well. As a Florida fan I have been sick and tired of Elam months ago. I still think he ends up in Gainesville but his ego is HUGE and it isn't like he is this once in a generation prospect. He is good but there is only so much upside that a 5-11 Strong Safety has. I would have taken Tony Jefferson months ago if I were Meyer.

I agree with 56.... Elam is probably one of,if not the best Safety prospects in this class. Would love to see him in Knoxville next year. His Ego would be taken care of on the practice field..... getting ran over in your first practice by an SEC RB can be very humbling. :)

I wouldn't call Elam a diva...the kid is confused and it seems like Meyer has not been 100% honest with him as well even before the latest news....pulling Elam, Clark and Christian would be huge

ATP UF and Meyer has too much to worry about than Matt hurt feelings...yes, UF wants him to be part of this class but if he can't wait until he gets a call from the man he's had a life long relationship with by all means become a Vol or Nole...IMO Meyer baby him too long so I LOVE the fact that he's taken his balls back from Matt and offered two more safeties and trying to get Riley for an OV. We could have had other commits if he wasn't babying the kid. Love his talent but NO kid that hasn't played a down of SEC football is worth ALL this drama. As for Gerald, kid is ALL gator and will enroll in time for spring practices. These kids have to do whats best for them but they have understand that programs will out last coaches expect for Joe Pa.....if a coach is good/great he'll get a bigger gig in college or pros but if he "Ron Zook's" then he'll endup in the Big Ten! lol

If the gators had every player in the last couple of years they didn't want anyways maybe they would have been able to compete and maybe beat Bammer... Just a thought...

My friend who goes to UF said hes hearing that Elam is reconsidering Tenn big time. He also is hearing FSU thought, but it seems like the gators are an after thought.

So it was Matt who was hiding his balls... Its so hard to tell these days. My money was on Brandon Spikes, but it could have been a toss up between his wife and Foley.

Hey you can't blame Matt, maybe he likes pancakes instead of waffles.

It's not pushing him away, its doing what's best for the program....so you're telling me that if he had this much drama with UT recruiting him, you would want Lane to put him above the program?

I think he ends up at UF.... but im not sure if FSU is in play that much imo... no inside information but he has his ee papers for FSU, UF, and WVU. If FSU was a serious choice wouldn't he just switch and be an EE at FSU?

I know that would be a big choice to make in little time but the fact he is not going to be an ee anymore seems to indicate he is wanting to see how the UF situation plays out....or the hopeful possibility he is seriously considering UT...

I agree. None of these kids are more important than the program. If he's full of drama, move on. It's not like UF is starved for talent.

ATP i think its FSU, UT and UF........he's talking about playing basketball but im hearing if FSU clears him for EE then all signs point to Tally. What a waste!.... I would rather him compete at the high level in the SEC and atleast get coached by Monte .....then I could say "missed Debose or Dunk over the middle" lol

Elam could come to UT out of spite if all this is true. He doesn't care for Riley and already sounds pissed about the Meyer flip flopping.

If he is a good kid which it seems like it then yes i put up with it...all high school kids are drama and confused let alone someone in his situation...rather have a good kid with elite talent like Elam who wants to make sure he is 100% sure in his choice than having another Nukeese "the Hamburglar" Richardson.
