Figured this would happen. Said 3-4 days ago when I heard that his mom and coach werent all for him going to FSU that all it would take is one sobbing phone call from Meyer and he would be back on board.

Bedford was our cornerbacks coach. Chuck Heater is our safeties coach and is looking like he will be promoted from assistant defensive coordinator to defensive coordinator or at least co-defensive coordinator with whoever is hired to replace Vance Bedford (Corwin Brown? Willie Martinez?)

I understand parents having some influence in where you go to college but these high school coaches need to stay out of it. It's one thing if they give the kid advice as to where he may get more playing time but Elam is clearly a big enough recruit that he doesn't need his high school coach's opinion on the matter.

say what you want about Willie as a DC but the man knows how to coach a secondary. If it did turn out to be Martinez not sure if he'd take over cornerbacks or whether Heater would go back to that position group he coached for his first three years at Florida.

Bottom line is that it needs to be over. No one should feel sorry for him, he brought it on himself. Its the last month of recruiting and now FSU's program is being drug through UF's problems because of Elam...

And what if, I know its a big if, but what if Gran left FSU for Tech as well or anywhere Tubs get's a job.

Recruiting is a tough business. Not for everyone.

Mike Farrell said he thinks he sticks with FSU. Heard that the convo he had with Urban last night was more to smooth things over than what it was a love fest that he's coming back to UF....I guess will see this situation is impossible to read.
