How? I thought the SEC put some new rule in place after last year? Is there a loophole?
Corey worked me over," Lemonier said. "He was my roommate, and he was really recruiting hard for Tennessee. I talked with the other Tennessee commitments and I had some really good one-on-one battles with Jawuan James. But it was Corey who was doing the recruiting."
So Auburn seems to still be in it for several kids, including Lemonier, despite Rivals showing they have 27 commits. I know that some of those kids may not qualify, and some may swich their commits, but does anyone know the numbers Auburn can sign? Personally, I would really like to beat Auburn in recruiting. I hate losing out to Bama and Florida, but understand it due to their success, but I would think UT would be much more desirable to recruits than Auburn.
AU has 6 more slots, it'll be hard to beat them with the recruits they still have on the board
They are able to back count 5 ee's for last years class...
The SEC rule is you can bring in 25 in the fall plus the back counts would put the total at 30....
They will have to place or grey shirt the other 3...if they sign 33...
Maybe I'm slow or just stupid....BUT can somebody explain to me how AU can back count 5 EEs from last year? They signed like 27 players. We signed 23 and can only back count 2. I read on one of these threads that some of signees didn't qualify. OK, but one or some of our class didn't qualify either (WR -J. Green for one off the top of my head) by that logic we should have at least 3 to back count....so i don't see how the numbers work out
Also only EEs back count as I understand and from what I understand Cam Newton is the only EE they have so far. Do they have a bunch more signees that are definite EEs and are getting in classes in the next 10 days or so?
Farrell...With Coach O you never count him out so there is a solid chance, but I like FSU a little better here right now. But Corey Miller did a great job working him and Tennessee is charging hard after him moreso than ever after losing Willis so it will be a close call. Can't count out Auburn at all either.
