Best friends with Trey Burton, but it appears UT also has some stuff to offer him.

We can never expect a FL prospect growing up being a VOL.

At this stage, it's great to hear that UT is in his mind. I don't expect more than that, but I have to pray that he does not commit early to UF, FSU, or Miami.

That's just how we recruit FL: extremely difficult, but highly rewarding.

"I haven't really watched Tennessee much in the past," Jones admitted. "I didn't watch them at all last year, but I will definitely watch them and pay attention to them this season. My dad has been doing some research on schools he has talked to me about their defensive line and linebacker coaches and says they are good."

alot of our recruiting success this year rides on our on-the-field performance. 9 wins would be HUGE.

9 wins would be great (I think 7-8 wins). However, what I would love to see is the defense just shut people down. If CMK's D can do that, I think we will have recruits lined up trying to get to UTK (this young man included).

i dont know what everyone else thinks, but i think we need to get a bigtime linebacker more than we need a bigtime receiver. what does everyone else think?

No, we are good at linebacker in the future. WR (especially Kiffin WR types) is lacking tremendously.

After his visit to Florida St: "I would probably say Florida State is the leader right now," Jones said. "But I don't really have a put together list or anything right now. Florida State is just a school I really like. They will probably be number one for a while or until some other school gives me something to think about."
He has already visited USF, UCF, and Florida for their Jr. Days. Hopefully he will be coming up to Knoxville very soon...

Is he any closer to narrowing things down?

"No, not right now. It's just too early to tell. Some people think I am going to definitely stay in state but that's just not true. I mean it doesn't matter to me at this point where I go. I just want to find the best school for me."

Jones has been to FSU, Florida, UCF and South Florida. This weekend he will attend the spring game at the University of Florida.

Interested in what will happen if he gets on campus.

Keep the hopes up matt. Ill bow at O's feet if he gets him to think about us, much less talk to another coach. I heard he wouldnt talk to a coach if they werent UM,Fla, or FSU. Any truth to the statement?

I believe that. I am pretty sure his mom wants him to stay in Fla and he is not argueing against that either. I have givin up on Luc fwiw
