'10 FL LB/DL Christian Jones

When will it hit the mainstream? I can't wait to get my "buddies" who like Florida back after all the hell they gave me over the Pilot incident.

nope. Edwards is also the linebackers coach. Secondary coach Chuck Heater is the co-coordinator. it's just how Florida does it.

Charlie Strong never stopped being the linebackers coach even after he took the full title after Mattison left. He also shared coordinating responsibilities with Chuck Heater.

Well, woopdie-freakin'-do! Give them a big red lolli-pop and star for the day! No one here really gives 2 ounces of crap about 99.69248% of the drivel that comes flying out of your mouth on a consistent basis.

Read the Title from your own site homie. :the_finger: Now apologize for questioning Sab.

GatorBait.net - Edwards hired, Heater promoted
Heater's being promoted from Assistant Defensive Coordinator, the position he held in both 2008 and 2009, to Co-Defensive Coordinator alongside George Edwards. When Strong took the full title after Mattison left he never stopped being the linebackers coach and shared coordinating duties with Heater. There's nothing false in that statement and nothing to apologize for.

As far as I'm concerned he was promoted from I could give a damn to I don't give a @#$%!!!

what PROVEN talent do they have coming back? a couple DBs, 2 scat backs, and a DT?

When you start losing the core of a great team (Tebow, Spikes, Cunningham, Dunlap, Strong, Hernandez, Pouncey, Stamper, Haden, Brandon James, Doe, Cooper, etc) things don't just go back to the way they were overnight. Look at USC this year. They lost their whole defense, all their coaches, and their QB. Sure they had a ton of young, unproven, 5star talent coming back, but they took a big time hit. jmo though...

Yes. ^^All this. Very good post with substantially strong points.

Nobody's suggesting they'll be in the national championship game next year. It's just silly to expect that they'll fall apart.

The roster's loaded with big-time talent. They'll have some growing pains, but they're still a major force in college football.

No one ever said UF would be falling apart. Both Sab and LV both stated they would take a hit and experience a nose dive next year. You don't lose that kind of talent and NOT have some sort of marked drop off. UF will struggle next year without a doubt. However, they will have loads of young talent--possibly the best recruiting haul in history this year--so they won't become irrelevant. Probably somewhere in the range of 8 wins next season. It will definitely be an interesting race in the SEC East next fall...

I don't see Florida having the same kind of success with Brantley. I don't think they flop, but I can see a 2-3 loss season for them.

They host LSU and South Carolina, trip to Bama and Rocky Top, and have cocktails with Georgia. 9-3 wouldn't surprise me.

9-3 with a Sugar Bowl appearance wouldn't be terrible. We've been spoiled. However, we've recruited very well. I think some people will be surprised as to how well we have recruited to add depth. For example, our WR's. We have unproven players, but there is talent at the position with Deonte, Hammond, Hines, Lawrence, Carl Moore, Debose. It's their time.

I can't believe they are recruiting Andrew Hendrix. Not because I think he's a bad prospect, but Meyer has made his money with the run-option and Hendrix can't run it.

I think we are adding depth to an unproven aspect of our team. Think I form with Chris Leak. Urban made some money with him.

Without Tim Tebow, Meyer is not in a position to win a championship that year. Chris Leak running the option is like Terrance Cody playing DB.

Really? Odd that the receiving corps was THE glaring weakness on this year's team.

Exactly, we didn't run the option with Leak. You proved my point.

You did have Teblow running the option though on some plays, without a Teblow type it will be a totally different offense. Even at Utah, he had Alex Smith running the option. Other than 2005, when was the last time Meyer did not have a mobile QB?

I guess Christian Jones is being recruited by UF to play offense, since we are talking about who all is coming back on offense for them. FAIL.:banghead2:
