Because he is a non-qualifier at this point. He has yet to take the SAT or ACT and is not allowed to take official visits much less commit to sign an LOI...

This has been all over TOS and Scout forums, However I have to say its rumor because of no official sTory. There probably would not be a story on such a topic. The news would begin when he passed or failed the tests. :hi:

I've seen that...but the post I was responding to was implying that if Williams left then Jones would foolow him to Ole Miss...and I've just never seen anything that says they are that close...

As far as his grades go...he can still commit here and we can place him in the case that he doesn't qualify....that's why it worries me that he hasn't committed

UT coaches have been told Ralph Williams will be honoring his commitment with Tennessee. This may lead to Delvin Jones returning to the fold, as well. Williams is the reason Crump will not be getting a scholarship offer.

I wonder what this means for Crump? Hoping the guy will get to walk on if we don't give him a scholarship.

Yeah...I'd hope we can offer him a preferred walk-on status, and give him a scholarship the moment one shakes loose, via academic casualty or otherwise. Look how many dropped off the roster just last year. One will likely occur before Fall camp, IMHO.

Ralph Williams is A Very Good Football Player.
Glad to see he's sticking with us
Im expecting big things outta him during the next 4 yrs.

It wont affect Probst. He was recruiting to Tennessee as a MLB. Williams is being recruited as an OLB. This program needs LB's badly.

If Ralph Williams sticks with Tennessee then I would call that a definite signing day surprise.

that kinda sucks about crump....im sure he was really excited to be able to play in the sec....i know its the nature of the beast but sometimes i feel bad for guys...
