'10 FL QB Michael Strauss

Yeah i know. That is the only thing from me being set on it. Prospects are now saying that the coaches want to take a JUCO and a HS QB this fall. CN said he wants to play in a pro style O and we are really the only team that runs it that is recruiting him. Stuff lines up sometimes, but others, like this, it can just drive you crazy.

I guess Star Jackson's QB days are over and they move him to WR. He didn't look half bad in the Bama Spring Game.

Strauss was offered a 2011 spot. According to Strauss if he came to UA over Tulane he would greyshirt the 2010 year and count towards the 2011 class. He is already listed on our boards as a 2011 prospect since he is planning on visiting now. JPW did the same thing when he came to UA.

Is Strauss seriously considering this? Why in the world would a kid want to play for Bama so bad they would take a gresyshirt? :)

Seriously, if the kid could go and play somewhere next year, even if it is Tulane, why would he not do that?

Tulane fan here. Not sure if that's a knock at Tulane, but if it is, we're used to it but, Tulane has placed 4 straight QBs in the pros (King, Ramsey, Losman, Richard), so if you want a shot at the NFL, Tulane is a pretty good place for QBs. As for Strauss, even if he ends up signing a LOI with Tulane, which I expect him to do, he won't be starting or playing next year, or maybe not even for a couple of years. Our starter heading into 2009 is Joe Kemp who is a sophomore, Joe Moore (last year's starter who was beat out by Kemp this year) who is a junior, and Ryan Griffin who is a freshman.

Whatever happens, I hope y'all kick the #^&@ out of Florida

i really like this kid, i think we should start looking hard at him, that side arm problem can be fixed alot eaiser than footwork issues. and from what i can tell he has pretty good footwork, but id like to see him throw in person.
