Giovanni Bernard Profile - Football Recruiting impressive offer list.
From a recent scout free-read.

“I definitely have interest in Tennessee,” Bernard said. “Knowing they have some quality backs already there is important. It doesn't bother me at all that Brown is a true freshman there. I want to surround myself with other great players so we can learn and push each other to the next level.”
Bernard, a 5-foot-9, 200-pound runner with 4.5 speed, rushed for over 1500 yards and 20 touchdowns last season. He currently has 23 official offers from some of the top schools in the country.

“I have a lot of interest in Alabama, Clemson and Tennessee right now,” Bernard said. “Tennessee is recruiting me very strong.”

“Coach Gran is a really cool guy,” Bernard said. “He is really outgoing. We began developing a relationship when he was at Auburn. He is recruiting me really hard right now.”

“Yes Tennessee has a good chance of getting an official visit from me,” Bernard said. “I want to go up there and check things out. They definitely like to run the football, that's important to me.”

There are still many quality backs out there for '10. Among all of them there must be someone who's very interested in playing for UT and not afraid of competition.

"The little wrecking ball from Saint Thomas Aquinas is in very high demand w/ over 30 offers. His list of offers includes Notre Dame, FSU, Miami, Florida, Alabama, Oklahoma, Boston College, Nebraska, Auburn, Ole Miss, and West Virginia."

a poor man's michael dyer? (but not that poor cause he is still a 4*)

Don't know about that. He plays against better competition. He may not be better than Dyer but we don't know. I really would like to see Dyer finishing runs a lot better.

At this point, Bernard says he doesn't have a true list of leaders but did admit that a few schools have consistently stood out.

"The ones that kind of stand out but nothing crazy would probably be Florida State, Florida, and Oklahoma," Bernard said. "Alabama and Notre Dame are also up near them."

Per Rivals he could be one of the best in South Florida at his position. He is on the Rivals top five wish list for RB. we are in his top five, too.

Toxic and Eric,

You are both correct. I reread the article. The article states that we have work to do to get into his top 5. Sorry about the misinformation.

• Riggs' teammate, running back Gio Bernard (Fort Lauderdale, Fla./Saint Thomas Aquinas) said Sunday night he currently has a top nine in no order. He said Oklahoma, Florida State, Miami (Fla.), Florida, Nebraska, Alabama, Tennessee, Oregon State and Notre Dame were the nine top schools currently on his list. His older brother, Yvenson Bernard, played for the Beavers.

Bernard says Tennessee is in line for one of those official visits.

"They are definitely in a good position," Bernard said. "They have been getting a lot of good recruits. I've been watching film on them and they have a lot of good players. I think I can watch their guys and add some of their skills to my game."

"You know he (Gran) recruited me when he was at Auburn," Bernard said. "I had a couple of good long conversations with him and he's got a reputation of putting players in the league. That's amazing because I want to play in the NFL after college."

Per VQ... He said that he is NOT going to take officials at any of the in-state schools. He is going to leave the state for his officials. Looks like we have a decent shot. Palardy needs to be in his ear...

That stiff arm was great on the first highlight. I love the stiff arm. This kid was using it effectively, thats for sure.
