Have you heard if we have a legit shot at this kid, or will our depth at the position scare him off no matter how much he loves the visit?

Yea, I think we have a legit shot at him, but I've heard the Noles are his leader. We need a good showing this weekend...

Keep an eye on Gio. X's blog on Basilio's website hints that we have a running back commit coming soon.

What is Crompton wearing on his knee? Is it an injury? Is it something we can blame his suck on???

Most all QBs wear that on their weak knee now just like all OL are starting to wear them, it helps brace the knee / prevent the knee from blowing out when its rolled on.

We need linemen right now more than anything. I want some big time names at the upfront nasties.

Having another stud RB, especially from Florida and a big time school like STA goes a long way to helping achieve that. OL want to come block for big time backs and with one on board and helping recruit them it only helps our chances.

They will end up with a great OL class.

Just last week people were freaking out about QB recruiting.

OL class will shape up very nicely. They have positioned themselves extremely well with a few guys up front.

I saw that too and first name that came to mind was this kid. But he said "now that Tennessee has landed a stud RB...". Is there another RB that has already committed? And if not, is it this guy or someone else he was refering to? Any thoughts?

It could actually be a typo. He could be talking about Meline, but other people said they have heard rumblings about Gio. Nothing solid yet.

Dyer could commit after we slap Auburn around.

I also think it is possible that Dan Mullen could have MS State back sooner than later in which case he would preside over a win against Auburn.

Since Gio has said that he likes competition and all I think it makes sense for a good rb to go to a school where there are other good rb's. IF............. The coach shares the load, and obviously CLK shares the load, and has a history of doing so.

From a player standpoint RB's learn pretty early that their number of carries are limited in a career and even though you may play ball with another rb with equal or better talent you'll still get your share of carries in a CLK system.

A buddy texted me about 5 minutes ago and said rumors are flying Bernard committed to us this morning. Anyone else seeing this anywhere?

Someone posted the same thing over at VQ. Would be truly amazing if true. Also, wouldn't surprise me any to see Poole transfer after the season if true.

Bernard would be a huge pickup. He's one of the few elite RB's in this class in my opinion (along with Seastrunk and Lattimore).

yeah, I liked this guy from the get go. Dude is a human bowling ball. And as for Poole, god I hope he doesnt transfer cause I really like him to!

Poole is not going anywhere.

He just got demoted from 2nd string in the spring to 4th string right now. With more warm bodies appearing to be coming in, even if it's not Bernad, the writing may already be on the wall. Poole was by FAR the most productive back in Fall Scrimmages, so that should tell you something.

I wouldn't be surprised if poole did transfer if we sign a big RB recruit this year. He has skill. He can definitely start elsewhere, and he is way better than a 3rd-4th string RB. IMO...
