Holds a UT offer per Scout.com. Not sure if it's a hold over offer or not from the last staff. I believe this is Frank Gore brother, so not a bad blood line.

Miami fans have been saying he's a lock for the past 3 years. Theres about a .00000001% chance of him going anywhere else.

"Right now, my top five is Miami, Florida, Southern California, Texas and Tennessee," Gore said. "I like those five. Other schools are showing me love and I will show them love back, but those are the five that I like the best right now."

"Miami is my No. 1 because I grew up as a fan of the school," he said. "I grew up watching their games and going to their games. Randy Shannon is a good coach and I like the offense that the run. Plus, the University of Miami is a really good school."

From ESPN... It will be very tough to get him from the Canes, but at least we are on his radar...

A young man intent on making his fortune and life's work in the NFL would be ridiculous to think Miami would be a better choice than Knoxville.

Miami has produced something like 18 Pro Bowlers in the past 10 years to Tennessee's 8.

you sure? ridiculous? i understand when we make these statements about washington, oregon, syracuse etc...

but miami sends a lot of players to the pros. so theres nothing ridiculous about it. this guy's brother was a third or fourth stringer at miami, and ended up a pro bowler.

Frank had ACL surgery on both knees...And STILL made an NFL team "Broncos" That's damn impressive and shows a lot of heart there.

He only backed up Portis and McGahee.

Frank has actually been pretty beastly in the NFL. Averages almost 5 YPC and has a little over 4000 yards behind one of the worst lines in the game over his career. Plus he's got another 1500 yards receiving.

And about his college days, straight from Wiki
As a true freshman for the University of Miami in 2001, Gore totaled 575 yards with 5 touchdowns on 62 carries (a 9.3-yard avg), the third-best season total in school history by a freshman and was named Sporting News' Big East Freshman of the Year. Gore suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee before spring practice in 2002 spent the following season recovering from knee surgery. He returned in 2003 and rushed for 100 yards in each of his first three games of the season. Gore returned for his senior year in 2004. His cousin, Kim Gibson, asked him to change his uniform number from #32 to #3 for better luck. He then ran for nearly 1,000 yards during the season.[5].

In 28 games with the Miami Hurricanes, Gore rushed 380 times for 2,500 yards (a 7.2 rushing average) and 20 touchdowns. His 1,975 yards rank seventh on the school's career-record list and his seventeen scores are tied for tenth.

Gore had beat out Willis McGahee in the spring of 2002 at the starting running back position while at Miami before his injury.
