So what has changed since Dave Hookers article yesterday saying he is decomitted from Bama and visiting us this weekend? Also any of the "in the know guys." Do we take him and Prater if both are availible? Do we tell others to look else where if we do? Just don't see how we can sign two more reciever with what we already have unless we are really just BSing the kid and gonna put him on D. Just currious.

IMO, Cullen, Green, Arie, Lofton and Jones are the most coveted players left available that are interested.

With 22 committed and the 2 backdated already used ( QB Simms and Kimbrell) Players like Simms and Stone and a few others run the risk of being asked to look elsewhere if they delay their commits much longer.

We may lose R. Williams and Delvin, that would open a couple of spots but it is really getting tight.

IMO we need the O Lineman the worst..

I agree that we need oline the most! I can not believe I am saying this but if we have a choice of either Sims or Prater I would have to go with Sims but only if Prater goes to a none SEC school. If Prater plans on going to UF I take prater and take my chances at Simms trying to beat Prater for the next four years on the defensive side of the ball at Alabama. This is getting pretty tricky with limited spots left. I just don't see this staff padding the recruiting rankings and not getting what we really nead. Now I can see them picking someone else up if they think it is a need for another SEC team on our schedule every year.

Don't get me wrong if it was just down to picking either one I would love to have Prater. I am just saying that if Prater is going to go Ill. we wont have to worry about him for the next "3" years. I think we have the strongest reciever commits in the nation with some pretty good reciever coming back. I would just love to take a commit away from Alabama or Florida in the worst way because it is like getting two guys. 1 we get them and 2 they don't.

Most of Prater's best relationships have been formed with UT commits/EE's. I think we end up with him based on that. All the East guys that are committed here and were in his ear, plus his relationship with Zach Fulton will trump The Zooker, IMO.

I hope you're correct cause he would be this years Bryce Brown. That being said I don't see how we still offer Simms unless we send another reciever packing. Just not enough slots left. Also how many recievers would that put on our roster if we signed both and all the recievers already committed? Just currious.

By the way you will never see me complain about a #2 in the nation pick up. I was just looking at it strategically. Both ways will work out cause if he goes to bama Prater will be kicking his but for the next 3 years.

You take Prater if you can get him. Look at Bama's last three classes, losing Sims wouldn't hurt them any.

Yea I somewhat agree, I can see positives in both but I would still much rather have Prater

I really wanted Blake, hopefully we get the new HC in as early as 2moro afternoon and we can begin re-recruiting

I find it amusing to call our coach out. I guess we should have hired Kiffin instead when searching. I also find it amusing that you think because a kid turned UT down that someone lied to them. Maybe Saban should take lessons from CEO.:)
