No. There is a huge difference between the two. Gilbert had barely thrown a pass at the D-1 level. Outzen just beat the crap out of Florida before we played them. That's much more than a slight difference.

i am really high on blake simms, the guy can make people miss and makes plays when the ball is in his hands. i dont care how many stars are by his name the kid can play and would be a good slot receiver and change of pace to all the bigger wide outs the staff is pulling in ( could be the wes welker to our randy moss (ambles).

i agree, prater and rogers are bigger gets than simms but i would not hesitate to take this kid. prater is the number one receiver in the nation for a reason a reciever with his size, speed, and ball skills are extremely rare, and rogers built up an already impressive reputation in the ua game by owning the dbacks in the practices but simms isnt lacking as an athlete either he reads his blocks and is extremely agile. could be our better version of cobb from ky (who was a terror for our defense in the game)

i agree with you...bama was the best team.even if colt was playing in the championship game, bama still would of won.bama seemed to be very conservative in that game. i think they figured since colt was out, it was bama's to lose..IMHO, if colt wouldnt of got hurt,bama would of opened the offense up.

Really? This is equal to saying if the right song was on my grandmother could show her incredible dancing moves. In other words she doesn't have any. Bama has no offense to open up. If McCoy plays the game Bama may still be national champs but it would be like the other 6 or 7 championships they don't really have because they would have lost. Bama's offense is terrible. Couldn't score on a touchdown on our d with our 14th string linebackers. Ingram and Richardson are all you guys have. Period.

I'm not defending the lame troll, but to be fair they are enough. They and their defense won them a lot of games, including the National Championship. Ask the Patriots about their game yesterday against the Ravens and going up against an ineffective offense other than running the ball. Game wasn't even competitive.

They are most definitly enough but saying "open up the offense" is a far reach for Bammer in any way. Acting like this Bama team had some other gear on offense they chose not to get into is absolutely ignorant. There is nothing that happened all year for any person to believe Bammer "held back" anything in that title game. Their two backs are amazing no questions asked. I was referring more to the notion that Bama could've "opened" it up more.

Yeah I'm not saying Texas wins for sure with McCoy but the fact that I've heard many people say Bama would open it up doesn't make sense. McElroy was running for his life every time he dropped back.
