As far as Quake and Dr. B go, my opinion as to their accuracy is on record. They suck, IMO. I just think Wes has been doing things the right way, from a journalistic perspective. Compare and contrast with the absolute circus that was GVX/KNS coverage of our HC search process...night and day.

UT offered Ronald Powell before anyone else did and he even said back then, they were the first and he would always respect that and consider his first offer. He dropped UT pretty much the next day.

I second that. You had Dbags like Basillo throwing darts at everything in the world.
Take the Coach Cut rumors, and look at WR's twitter and the entire time he was saying this was far from a sure thing.

Its one thing to get excited about them coming out publicly and saying they are Vols but getting excited over what people who know absolutely nothing are saying is something else. Its why all the coaches who were coming here threads got out of hand. People bought in too quickly, and I was one, especially on Kevin Steele.

I just dont think CMR is going to let this kid go and he will offer Nance to keep him and sell them on it.

In your (and my) defense, that was being reported by Rivals and Scout. Even Clemson's Scout page had a list of potential replacements for him.

Wes Rucker is actually the Chattanooga Times Free Press beat reporter for the Vols, and has been pretty solid in his reporting since X left. By that I mean he has reported only as much as he can confirm, hasn't thrown a lot of wild speculation around. When he can't confirm something, he says so up front. If he says Rodgers is seriously considering the Vols, I buy that. You'll note that Rucker HASN'T said "Vol lock" or given any percentages.

Didn't start with Kiffin's departure. Rucker has by far and away been the most accurate, detailed, and creative reporter on UT football... and for awhile it was only part of his job while KNS has a whole staff following UT.

I threw him in their faces at gvx... others probably did too. Now they buy access to his articles.

Oh, and in his spare time, he even went to the effort of responding to a couple of emails.
