'10 GA ATH Da'Rick Rogers

There is not a lot of info on him and he hasn't been evaluated yet. He is a 6'1" dual threat QB. There is a big difference in his weight between Scout (221 lbs) and Rivals (200 lbs). He looks more like 200 lbs by looking at his picture. He doesn't have any offers according to both services though.

whew.....it is bad that I am thinking the worst now when I see any of the threads of our players being bumped. Glad to see he will be at the OW game

I know what you mean man. I worry every time I see a '10 player thread bump back to the top. 2 of 'em died and one had cancer.

Whether or not he's "academically" qualified is beside the point, he has to get through the Clearinghouse, and no one can give any inside info to whether or not he gets through there or not. It's still 50/50 for him, so once we get into June, we should know more.

It's not 50/50 if he just has to get through the clearinghouse. I'd say about 95% of players who were deemed "academically" eligible that had questions at one time get through the clearinghouse and only around 5% are flagged.

Not to single anyone out, but what's more annoying than people that complain about the state of the program are posts like this. It's the same people over and over and over that constantly post this in every thread. JMO.

There aren't exactly 4,203 different reactions to news regarding a player's eligibility that I reach into my bag of posts and pull out. I think I've made a sarcastic quip in a similar vein a couple of times. I appreciate the discussion you bring to the forum on a regular basis, but I imagine if you're seeking originality in every single post you read here you must find this to be a relatively dull place to spend your time.

Next time I'll try to launch into a state of the program diatribe for you.

He's still got work to do in the classroom, and you are right about the Clearinghouse, but that little place scares the crap out of me. We have had too many players in the past have issues with that place, and it always worries me until they clear.

I understand what you are saying about players in the past having issues with the clearinghouse, especially in relation to Tennessee. You just never know with them, but the strong majority of prospects out there do get through the clearinghouse when it is all said and done.

Oh yeah, our of the 5% you said, Tennessee has 2% of those guys it seems. :)

the good news is dooley factors in academics into commits he takes..so he must think he has a very good shot to qualify

Yeah, but I think Dooley was looking to get any athlete that he could at that time, especially one of Da'Rick's calibur. I think Dooley does look at grades and attitudes of players which is great imo.
