'10 GA ATH Da'Rick Rogers

He is taking a visit so they bump him down to soft until after the visit or something..

Doubtful, he took that visit almost a week ago. If that were the case, it'd have been downgraded that day.

Palardy was going on trips, but he was never downgraded.

Soft and Solid status' are not high on the priorities of Rivals. He was listed as a "soft" because of his visit last week. They don't update it the second a kid leaves town for a visit. It's not like he called them up and asked them to change it to soft.

If i remember correctly, it had his interest level of every other offering school at none. W/ the update of his status to soft verbal, it now lists him having low interest in UT. Wow, when I write that out it sounds even more ridiculous than it is. Hope we can sign him.

That's why I mentioned Palardy.

DawgVent is in "crisis mode!" They don't know what to think. Some are freaking out about the Nance commitment, while others are saying if they were both coming to UT, they would have committed together. They don't know what to think but ALL their attention is on Rogers right now.

IMO, I think this can only play out well for us. These two are best friends and the Nance's helped raise Da'Rick. I think they would want to be at the same school, and UT is the only place where they have that opportunity. It wouldn't make sense for best friends to go to rival schools. Just my $0.02

If I were them, I would also be pretty concerned about Robey:)

We are one step closer now if it is actually going to happen. With Nash's "unofficial" verbal commit, then it is just laying the ground work for Da'Rick to follow. *crosses fingers*

Getting Nash does not guarantee Rogers. I think everyone needs to understand that. Now it doesn't hurt at all. Not at all.

Depending on the weather, Nash is going to come up this weekend and according to Nash's father, Rogers may or may not come.

Nash is being inducted into the National Honor Society in the morning at 9am and Dooley is trying to work out that and his schedule to make the in home visit happen whether it's at 7am or 10pm Friday night. Weather may play a factor there as well.

Obviously the in home visit would be huge for the recruitment of Rogers to be the last coach to see him.

Hang on, going to be a a wild ride the next few days.

Im stickin with Ambles as the best WR in the 10 class tho. still, would be a tremendous get for us

I like Ambles to, but he's tied for second with Robert Woods in my opinion. Rogers has the best combination of size, strength, speed, and ability after the catch out of every receiver in this class.

I saw this on TOS. This weekend could definitely end up being a problem with the weather. However, hopefully we can get these guys on campus together one more time. If we do, I think Rogers is a done deal.

Just to add a little more fuel, it is rumored that Searles could be joining the staff after signing day as our OL coach. Guess who is listed as one of the recruiters for Rogers....

I don't think Searels will be here. He really hasn't done anything with the talents he's had there. I don't know if that is such a good idea, but hey, if Dooley likes him and it does happen I guess I'll support him.
