Just because his school says Tennessee '12 doesn't mean he's using a Tennessee email address, trust me. Anybody can join it.

It required me to enter my email address - go to my email address - and confirm that was my email address on my UT email and say that I wanted to make it my network when I did mine a couple of years ago.

No, you don't have to have a particular University's email address to say you went there. I just changed my school to some random other school and it let me do it.

Ogletree put it on there himself...whether it is a joke or not is unknown.

Facebook used to be only for college students and you had to have an approved university's email to join that network. But they have since done away with that and now anyone with any email can join.

I know anyone with any email can join - that's been that way for a loooooong time. But you still couldn't add a college as your network unless you had a university email and had to verify it (I know this was required even about a year and a half ago so it would have had to be changed since then).

Its probably changed. i think you have to be friends with at least one person on that network to join. not sure about the amount of friends though
