James, an all-star offensive tackle at North Gwinnett, will be riding up to Knoxville, Tenn., and the University of Tennessee with his mother on Sunday. The drive will end what was a long, arduous and sometimes controversial recruitment that included a commitment to Alabama last spring, a de-commitment in September, a commitment to the Vols in October and a visit from NCAA investigators in December.
I have orientation on Monday, I start school on Wednesday and I start workouts with the team in two Mondays, said James, who returned from the Under Armour All-American Game this past Sunday. Its been pretty much go, go, go with the all-star games and everything. But its worth it to be able to get there and start getting stronger, compete for playing time and get accustomed to college life.
