I really don't know what to think about Ambles visiting again. Since he has been here a lot thru x's time here. He may have a certain comfort level at UT because of it. Some thing he did not feel at NC or USC. We shall see.

I don't care how talented this kid is, he's got the kind of attitude the Vols don't need around. If he does end up signing, I bet he will prove to be a big headache for the team.


Also, the misinformation really does sound like Kiffin's doing. He is probably going to USC and Kiffin has him messing with us.

i have to agree with this. i couldnt imagine any kind of travel in this horrible weather to just come toy with a university. it doesnt add up. maybe, and im sure someone else has mentioned, Ambles got to LA and realized he was very very far from his family. i made a trip from Tn to LA when i was his age, and it was a definitie culture shock. i also believe that Ambles got out there and realized that he would be a big fish in an ocean sized pond. in Knoxville he was already "the" fish in a fairly large pond. those things together, especially distance to family, are surely on Amble's mind, imo.

He's actually stuck in Charlotte. The flight from Charlotte to Atlanta was canceled and he didn't make it in last night.

There are direct flights from ATlanta to Knoxville too...
Ambles is starting to sound like a Kiffin type of guy...I say we focus on Rogers and if Ambles wants to come, great but give the royal treatment to Rogers first.

I usually try not to be too hard on these kids when they're going through the recruitment process. It's got to be a lot for a 17/18 year old kid to handle.

That said, I agree with you that Ambles seems like he fits in better with the prior staff. He's a bit Hollywood.

I can't believe a bunch of grown men just spent their evening trying to find out if an 18 year old attention whore is coming to town...................IF he's even in Charlotte. For all you know, he's laid up in his own bed screwing with you all weekend.

I can't figure out why they didn't just book him on a direct flight to Knoxville. I'm sure it was cheaper to make the connection in Charlotte, but I assume UT is paying for it since it is an OV. Not sure why they chose to do this, unless it was the only flight to Knoxville they could get on short notice.

Yes, it is cheaper. My work does the same thing. Instead of flying straight from Knoxville to Cleveland,OH - We fly to Charlotte and then to Cleveland.

lol at everyone getting so worked up over this. If he comes great. If not, oh well... Even if he visits this weekend, we won't know anything until signing day. He is definitely one for the drama of choosing the hat at a live scheduled press conference. Relax and enjoy your weekend. Leave it to Dooley and company. I'm sure they are all over it.

Thats for sure. My kid just said, daddy I want to play in the snow. I told her that it snows more than once a year and signing day only happens once a year!!!!! Needless to say - I'm headed outside to do some sledding.

Here is my question. How does anyone actually know he is sitting in the airport waiting for a flight to Knoxville? He has made plans to visit and backed out several times. Please tell me someone has confirmed he is actually at the airport. No, him saying he is there on twitter is NOT confirmation IMO. Sure, I would love to have his talent on the team...but his drama is unwanted. JMO

I don't know what would be more shocking. Ambles actually showing up, or being able to read this thread between now and NSD without knowing exactly where Ambles is at that given time. Ya know, maybe I've been looking at him all wrong. After all, if he signs with the Vols we have ZERO chance of him pulling a Nu'Keese or Tyler Smith. Inviting the media to tape him robbing a gas station wouldn't work out real well for him, nor would doing a live webcast on how to alter a gun's serial number. I'm sure he's a good kid, he just needs to get popped by a few SEC linebackers-which to his surprise will be as fast as he is.
