I thought he was friends with both. Maybe it was just Brunetti; I don't remember for sure.

Ambles is good friends with one of UT’s top quarterback targets: Jake Heaps from Skyline High in Sammamish, Wash.
“I talk to him once a week,” Ambles said.
Ambles is also good friends with dual-threat quarterback Barry Brunetti from Memphis University School, who was also at Tuesday’s camp.
“He’s a good quarterback,” Ambles said.

I would like to think that these kids probably keep up with recruiting news to see where they stand. I would think he has heard of Scroggins. Just my opinion.

All these kids keep up with who's who and were other recruits commit to. If they didn't alot would end up at the same schools. Ambles wants to go were he can excel. Somewhere were he'll get the ball. If we get Scroggins, we'll be sitting pretty with him.

I swear I remember reading something where he told another recruit the exact same thing. How many players can he use exactly like Percy Harvin. I guess he is just telling kids what they want to hear.
