If i was a betting man and had to say we get one of them it is ambles for sure i just do not know much about the rogers sitiuation aside from what my dad told me Mr Nance said.. we will get Ambles though

Ambles said that Tennessee was definitely back in the mix. He likes coach Baggett and was glad he got to spend some more time with him. And he loves Lance Thompson. He's going to pick Wednesday between TN, UNC, and USC.

Ambles told John it would likely be Wednesday morning before he makes a final decision. He will go with what he feels when he wakes up. That decision will definitely include Tennessee as well as UNC and Southern Cal.

I just went to a UNC board and they are talking about how they are in the lead for him after Butch's in home. A couple people also questioned why anyone would ever come here instead of to UNC. Funny bunch they are.

I think thats a reasonable way for him to go about making the decision. No rash decisions.
He's seen his options. Now time to mull for a few days and pick where he thinks he can be at his best.

It's a big decision for him and this seems like the best way to go about it

It's like that on the UGA board I lurk at. Seems like all fans think a like when it comes to their school.

You know even Arkansas St fans would ask why a recruit would want to go to TN over them. Every fan base is that way. However I must agree in this case. If you want football success, UNC doesn't compare to us.

If he's basing his decision heavily on where he feels most comfortable, then I like our chances. He's bonded with a lot of our players, CJC and CLT over the past several months. Don't see how we can't be on top if thats the case.

I'm sure it's in this thread somewhere but hopefully someone can answer this for me real quick; hasn't LT been his lead recruiter throughout the entire process?

Yes sir...

Prior to the visit, he was talking about waiting until after NSD to decide. Now, after the visit, he says he'll decide on Wednesday. I don't see any way that can't be a very good sign for us.

I lived a block from the IGA at 19th and Highland (lived at 1820 Forest Ave. in a ramshackle house that's long been torn down and replaced by Jefferson Commons. I can honestly say that the only thing safe to purchase from that place was beer, and the latest issue of High Times.[/QUOTE

I lived at 1816 Forest Ave from 92 - 94.

I can't understand why he would go to UNC. I admit I am something of a fan of that team. My dad worked for the Tar Heels years ago. I still bleed orange though. But Ambles said that "he has a little Hollywood in him." On the UNC campus, basketball players stand out more so than the football players due to the nature of their athletics program. At UT, he would be recognized and I think the fans would appreciate him more. IMHO

Great point...unless he's just bringing on some more drama. Wouldn't put it past him to postpone past NSD & visit another place or two. But, per his word, this is a good sign!
