How you guys think the receiving core stacks up next year?

I think Jones and Moore have the starting two locked up based on experience, but it should be interesting to see who 3,4,5,6 is going into the year. Thompkins, Teague, Ambles, and Milton could all get into the starting rotation IMO based on how they progress. Im hoping the new comers bring a huge play making spark to our core to make the job as easy as possible for whatever inexperienced QB we have playing next fall.

completely disagree

I think Thompkins will step in right away and play just as much as those 2. Ambles could be the best out of all of them. WR is that weird position where it doesn't matter if you are starting or not because formations changing and what not. They will all see the field, which is a good thing.

I am grateful for what Jones and Moore have done. I was pleasantly surprised at how much of a difference their presence was to the O this year... but neither is the complete WR that CLK is looking for. Both are limited.

I could see them being more in competition with each other than with the newcomers... if those guys are as good as I'm thinking. I'm especially excited about Thompkins' potential to start.

great to hear! for the past few years i've been psyched to hear we have any players in the AA games, but i LOVE hearing our guys are standing out in them. Hurry up to K-Town Markeith!

Thank you all for proving my point. Ambles will be a plus for the UT program despite the fact that the fanbase is more worried about his rep than his performance.

For the rest of the clueless, rep gets you nowhere unless you're a public figure. V,B is a negative representation of the university. Keep it up, and UT will be the next U (that's not a good thing, BTW).

Leave, B!

In all seriousness you think 2 letters (words if I am around fellow fans) are going to turn us into the U. Keep preachin, preacher man :salute:

Was named the player of the day at the Army All American Practice

Tennessee commit Markeith Ambles was named the player of the day for the East and was the Rivals.com analysts' pick for the best player on both rosters based on Tuesday's practices.

After having a very solid day Monday, Ambles - who is from McDonough (Ga.) Henry County - took care of business making big catches and big moves. He was the star of the one-on-ones, toasting the competition with a bevy of moves and precise routes. Matt Elam, Jaylen Watkins, Keenan Allen and Latwan Anderson were all victims of Ambles on Tuesday.

Despite the success, Ambles wasn't satisfied with his performance.

"It wasn't my best practice," Ambles said. "If it was my best, I'd catch everything. I'd just give it like a 7 or 8. But, I can do better in the game on Saturday."
Is there any chance he gets a fifth star?

Victims of ambles lol thats priceless considering there going to rival schools

And thats just classy, he's got the swagger we need in k-town! GO VOLS

Lache Seastrunk and Markeith Ambles just showed off some athleticism. Seastrunk did sort of a running tumble back handspring. Ambles did a standing backflip on the field.

Vols, Butch! (that's my first name so I always thought you guys were just talking to me! To you know, just let me know a recruit was interested.)

Really? I think competing for 6 National Championship, and winning 4 in an 8 year span is a good thing! It's called swagger, sorry if it sends you screaming into the hills. Get all uptight about it if you want to, but I wouldn't care if Bryce Brown scores a TD in the National Championship and then decides to pull his pants down and moon the Pope, as long as we were up by 4 scores in the fourth quarter!

Oh and one more thing:) V,B:)

I don't see it as negative since anyone using it can't be of college age yet.

It's nice having players that are always trying to work to get better...I remember one game this year that we were up by 20 some points and they spoke to Kiffin on his way to the locker room at the half and he said, "we should be up by a couple more touchdowns"...i like this kind of attitude...Go VOLS!
