10 Greatest Tag Teams Of All Time.

The list is ok. But to put the New Age Outlaws, the Hardy boyz, and Edge and Christian in at the expense of the Outlaws and the Freebirds is hard to justify.

Didn't Rick Rude and Kurt Henig form a tag team at some point?
Any list that includes the New Age Outlaws and excludes The Original Outlaws is automatically suspect.

Which Freebirds? Gordy and Roberts, who won NO world titles (I think), or PS and Jim Garvin, the first good Gay tag team?

The only one that I'd consider taking out would be the New Age Outlaws.

Think about what the Hardys and E&C have accomplished in an era of MUCH higher workrate, especially considering their styles. I would kill to see a match between either of them and the Midnights, or Blanchard and Anderson with their "storytelling" abilities.

I can't really count any of the "pieced together" tag teams (Kane and Show, Rude and Henning, Michaels and Austin, even Hogan and Savage) because they really didn't make their names as teams.
Hayes and Garvin held the NWA/WCW belts at one time. However, the original lineup with the rotation of Hayes, Gordy, and Roberrts was awesome. If one considers the World Class belts a legit title, they were once world champions.

The Hollywood Blondes also merit some mention. If WCW had tried to sell them instead of bury them, they would have been an all time great team.

Was that the one featuring the pre-Stone Cold "Stunning" Steve Austin?

also, for entertainment value, was the Rock n Roll Express. and the ony reason why, was i hated them and loved watching them get beat.

My brother got into a fight with these two at a club in Johnson City years ago. He whooped them and got kicked out of the club

I'm old, but I'm not that old.

And I can't in good conscience comment on a team that I never saw.

That's the same reason I didn't include the Blackjacks.

On a side note, All this Tag talk has got me nostalgic for a Tourney with all these teams.....Anybody up for an all-time Crockett Cup?

Are we talking work ethic, charisma, and being in good gimmicks, or the number of titles? If the latter, Harlem Heat would need to be mentioned. However, I assume we're basing it on the former. The Rockers were entertaining for a bit.

I just thank God that nobody has mentioned Demolition as a good team. that restores my faith in the intelligence of this board.

The feud The Rockers had in the AWA with Buddy Rose and Doug Summers was an all time classic.

The first Crockett Cup was always my favorite because it was the debut of Stan Lane with The MX.

Well, in no particular order, here are my 16 teams. I realize some guys are on more than one team, but it's a hypothetical so that's irrelevant.
1-10-I've already listed.
11. The Original Skyscrapers-Sid Vicious and Mark Callous reunited.
12. Kevin Sullivan and Maniac Mark Lewin. Every tournament needs a wildcard.
13. The Fantastics. Just to watch a team like the Original Outlaws or Sullivan and Lewin beat them to a bloody pulp.
14. Ivan and Nikita Koloff. Ivan never gets his just due.
15. The Gangstas-A match between them and Tully and Arn would be the greatest contrast of styles of all time.
16. Barry Windham and Mike Rotunda. They are always unjustly overlooked when discussions of great teams occur.

Come now.....you can't bury Show like you did and then include Stiff Sid no matter WHO the partner is. Got Scissors?

I'd like to see the Blown-Spot fest between Sid and Great Khali. I think that the entire business might rip apart at the seams.

WOW...I think we have completely left the Dudleys out of this discussion, as far as one of the best. That's an error on my part.

I completely forgot that the Fantastics existed. very nice call.

5. The Hardy Boys
6. Arn Anderson & Tully Blanchard
7. The Dudley Boys

10. Booker T & Goldust. (they're really not one of the top 10 teams of all-time, but they're one of my favorite pairs...absolutely hilarious together.)

If you're going to talk blown spots, Goldberg has to be the first name mentioned.
