no, im quite aware of what "taking shape" means, but thanks for using that cliche 4th grade metaphor to help me understand.

now, since you know 1/4 of our lineman class, tell me the rest of it. its taking shape, so you shouldnt have much trouble telling me who else will commit.

as a matter of fact, since we have 8 commits overall, and can only sign 28, meaning our class is roughly 28% complete, can you tell me the rest of the class that we will sign? it would be pretty convenient to know ahead of time which prospects will sign with us. and it shouldnt be too difficult, since the entire class is taking shape, even considering that we have all of 1 offensive commitments.

recruiting isnt a 100 peice puzzle depicting a cat playing with some yarn. you have no idea what it is going to look like. so dont tell me i do or do not understand

Good Lord dude....lighten the hell up. What is and isnt considered "taking shape" is completely opinion until you can link us to a dictionary meaning of it. With a couple OL recruits and a QB I would certainly consider our class to be slowly "taking shape". Some of the people on here take what others say WAAAAY too seriously. Jeez.

no, the concept is over your head. thats why you resort to saying that recruiting is like a puzzle, where you have every piece to begin with, and just have to put them together. in recruiting, you have to go out and find pieces, and make your own puzzle.

its plain and simple, if you think our offensive line class is taking shape, you dont know what youre talking about.

i argued my side, and instead of arguing your side, you called me stupid. its apparent that you have no answer, and your trying to avoid it now. so go ahead and pick out a nice smiley, and insult my intelligence again, but first go ahead and tell me the rest of the lineman that we will get

Dude, saying the class is "taking shape" if a couple recruits at key positions commit isnt literally saying recruiting is "exactly like a puzzle". If Scroggins commits, our class will "begin to take shape" because you can then anticipate a lot of other OL and WR following his lead. You are taking it WAY to literally.

Add Stone, Clemmons, Koenig, Underwood, and either Chaz, Sentreal, or Arie to Fulton and Jose. We will sign 7 imo...

Wildberry's response to this is like me using another analogy and saying our efforts so far in recruiting is like a squirrel's cache of acorns for winter is 28% full and thus "taking shape" of being completed and Berry replying with "our team isn't a squirrel!!!!!!"

Someone should teach him not to take analogies literally...

He is going to be the next to commit.

If Henderson committed to UT that would be huge and I would say that things are starting to shape up.

I don't think we will know for a while if we have a real shot at Sentreal. We have to do a couple of things first...

We have to get a top-notch QB. Scroggins would accomplish this, not sure about Rettig. We have to start building a good o-line around him, I'm sure he doesn't want to waste 4 years with a bunch of retards on the line. Jose and Fulton are a start. I think Stone could go a long way in helping pull Henderson. And most importantly, we have to show that we are turning the program around on the field. At least 7 wins. He knows he can go to Ohio St. or USC and win 10 or 11 games and a conference championship against cupcakes every year. But if we can show him we are rebuilding around Bryce, Scroggins, Nuke, Jacques, and Stone, we can sell him on the idea of him being part of something special in the best conference in the land...

I agree and like others have mentioned before anything can happen. We just need a few key recruits/players to get things moving.

The 2009 season will be a 7-8 win season and I think we will see a good bit of improvement on the offensive of the ball.

Illinois offensive lineman Zach Fulton has already seen the Tennessee campus twice. And after offering Fulton a scholarship following Lane Kiffin's one day lineman camp two weeks ago, the Volunteers staff is hoping a third trip to Rocky Top by Fulton will be the charm. That third trip will take place before the end of the month. But are the Vols the favorite for the Illinois lineman?
