'10 IN OT James Hurst

Are we starting to lose some of that hope that we had this time last week since he hasnt made any comments about us, and all those rumors started spreading about him being a lock to other places?

He went straight from here to other visits. I don't think he is talking to anyone while he is on his visits.

Any news on who CLK was talking about on his interview the other day, when he said a recruit was really close to committing? I thought it was Hurst, but it doesn't seem so now that it has been several days since that initial report. Does anybody else look close to committing at this point?

Hubbs says the visit went well and all indications are Hurst wants to return for another look at the Vols.

I find it interesting he never really gave any quotes or anything. That has to be good. very interesting tho

"The hedges stood out on the stadiums I have seen," Hurst said. "They call it "between the hedges," and it is awesome. I could feel the environment there, it was empty in the stadium, but seeing the highlights made me imagine what it would be like..."

"My parents really enjoyed it," said Hurst. "They came back and said Coach Richt was the nicest coach they had ever met. They were impressed by it all," Hurst added...--- Rivals
Richt probably broke down the actual meaning of Thessolonians I and II...

Hurst had high hopes for the trips to the four schools, but one of his goals did not get met, and it is making things difficult for the number two offensive tackle...

"They were all impressive, but I was hoping to have one school stand out and make it easier for me with a clear cut leader," Hurst said. "But everything was great and I am glad I got to meet all of the coaches and see what they were about..."

"I don't have any plans to visit any more schools. But I do plan to have a shorter list by the end of the week after I go over it with my coach," said Hurst...

He said that while Georgia may not have made a big move in his eyes, they were in a good place to begin with...---Rivals

I'm getting very nervous...:scare:

"Everything you hear about Coach Richt is the truth," Hurst began. "He is a great guy who will tell you straight up how he feels about you. I think he would be a great person to play for," he added

"The coaches showed me some film, and while watching they showed me who they have and who they don't have. They really made it a point to make me feel wanted," said Hurst.

"The highlight of the trip would definitely be the last thing we did. It was about 8pm at night, and we went out onto the field at Sanford stadium. It was completely dark, so you couldn't see anything, then all of a sudden the highlight film cam on the jumbotron and lit up the whole stadium. That was definitely the highlight of the trip," said Hurst.

That god has him on speed-dial?

I just dont think it is right to use God to help you recruit football players to your school. something is not right about it

It may be a stretch, but if this is one of his constant plugs to recruits, then he may be pushing the lines of the separation between church and state. Richt is an employee of a college that receives both local, state, and federal monies. If, as a employee of that institution,he is representing certian religious views while in official duties for that institution, he would be in violation this provision. If he is doing it outside his official duties, then he is free to do so. Any thoughts?

Isn't this a violation?
