I believe he redshirted last year at CC & has 3 years of eligibility left

Apparently, he was a 2-star out of HS w/acad. issues. Went to CC. Bolstered his grades. Bolstered his body (went from 6', 170, 4.7 to 6'2", 185-90, 4.4-5). Played well his Frosh year. Picked up by KU. Didn't gel w/coaching change there. 4-star this year. Recruited by LTU. Then, following Dooley here. He played 2 yrs at that Kansas Indy CC, but med redshirted one year. So, he has 3 yrs playing time. Should be aching to get back to the field, like Reveiz, & hopefully a hard worker.

Quality pick up IMO.

Scout has us at 24. Since we are taking 2 and 3 star recruits away from LA Tech and East Carolina, it must mean we will not finish as strong as hoped. I hope I am wrong about that. Still, it is a good class.

I'll take that type of player over walk-ons any day. We need depth.

Scout has us at 24 commits (reported earlier) adding Crump, Clark, & Sapp, & removing R. Williams.

Rivals has us still at 22, incl. Williams.

Scout also has Propst as committed, but not on their list. (So 25?)

I wonder if these guys actually have offers from us?

+1. It's not like we can call up 4 and 5 star recruits and they will committ to UT on the spot. At this point and with the situation our program was given, we need players that add some bodies behind the 1st string guys. I'm guessing a lot of these recruits have a chip on their shoulder and something to prove because the bigger schools haven't shown them any interest, at least that's what I'm hoping for. Some people are going crazy but they forget to look at the top 10 or 15 players we are signing this year. There are a lot of studs coming to UT, we will be fine.

2 star was his HS rating, 4 star Rivals out of Juco

I think the numbers will work themselves out - it always does.

Realistically we only have a shot at about a half dozen guys

OL - Robinson, Stone, Glass
WR - Rogers, Ambles

maybe - D. Jones re-committing

I honestly think, IMHO, those are the only "top guys" with which we are having any meaningful contact and are really going after at this point.

Prob. lose Copeland and Williams

I wouldn't not count on any of the long shots coming in at this point, ie. C. Jones, C. Lemonier, A. Kouandjio, etc.

Agreed and also Crump.. These will be fall back guys and we will lose R.Williams and Maybe Copeland. That opens up 2 sch..

Rogers,Probst, Clark, Glass and Stone on HSD or before( Clark and Probst maybe already.... waiting for confirmation from other sources.

D. Jones is a non-qualifier and I think is out of the picture..

And we will still have room for late additions..

Think Sapp and Crump maybe on outside looking in when all is said and done...
