Im not worried he put us in the lead, he seemed genuinely excited.
Esp now He def. knows he is gonna get a crack at starting and if not he will play alotta minutes.

Menzie would start from day 1 next year. He is that good IMO.

And yes Nuke and Edwards are all but gone. Both have been very immature since they arrived. Jackson will get another chance since the charges are going to be dropped at some point today.

If JJ stays on the team he would be on the shortest of leashes and mostly wouldn't play the rest of the season IMO. These kids have so much potential I hate to see them throw all away.

I hope Janzen is kicked off permanently. He's been having issues since being on campus. Failing multiple drug tests, hanging around the wrong ppl, getting in the "incident" just a week ago and now this. I'm done w/ the guy whether he stays on the team or not. No talent is worth tarnishing our reputation like he has and will continue to do if he's allowed to stay on the team (even if he keeps his nose clean going forward).

If he was a junior, I might agree. Let things work themselves out before you want them to get he axe. Remember Gerald Jones??

What are the fans willing to do for a win? What is the staff willing to do for a win? Some things (like reputation) are more important. For the record, if Kiffin takes a hard stance I think it'll pay off for us in the long run.

Also, with the way our staff has proven to develop players, I don't think Myles and Waggoner will play significantly below Janzen's performance level. Safety is a position of strength on this team (probably the biggest). Perhaps the production at the S position isn't to the same degree but we won't be worse off w/o JJ enough to risk the team's reputation. Kiffin can't continue to claim a tough stance on disciplinary issues if he keeps Janzen, imo. Furthermore, this would make him the butt of the joke after making snide remarks about Meyer following the Spikes half game suspension (which, at the time, I loved).

Is Janzen Jackson worth all of this? Is any player? No. Never. Certainly not this one. But I don't make the choice. I'm just hoping the right one is made. I hope Janzen turns his life around, for his sake...just not at this university!

JJ should not be allowed to play in the rest of the games this year. He can practice but cannot travel with the team. He then should be reinstated in the spring. Nuke and Edwards should be kicked off. I hate that too cause they had alot of potential. Wish them the best of luck to get their life back together

To get back on track (sorry), Dequan's importance just shot up. I doubt his euphoria from his trip will wear off or anything. I believe he's just being a good son and withholding his decision till he's taken his visits and time, like mother requested--the type of thing we should approve of considering it shows a very positive character trait (assuming that's what's holding him up, as I imagine).

My father taught me an important lesson at a very young age and I had to be reminded of it at different pts during youth: You are the company you keep.

This isn't a second or even third chance for Janzen. He's got a father who's a respected position coach, too, so it's not like he's from a troubled background where you just hope some good role models will change his life around. This event may forever change his life for the better, and I hope it does. Just not here. It's not worth the consequences for our reputation as a university and football team.

If we didn't have Ken Adams committed I would be worried it was taking longer for him to go public...advantage TN....good chance Rogan could move back to safety if Menzie shows out early

We really need a physical corner in this class after watching us against Ole Miss and Menzie fits that very nicely. Hopefully we'll get his commitment soon.

His dad wanted to get him out of LA because he'd had issues with his friends down there. I guess that counts as a troubled background.

But 2nd strike. one more, no matter how small it is, and I bet he's gone.

I hope that Tennessee keeps Janzen. I know all that he has done and the shame he and his two other teammates have brought to UT, but maybe this is the wakeup call that he needed. Lord knows I've needed second and thord chances when i was a young man and am very grateful that I had them, and i also made the most out of them. Janzen is a whale of a telent and I think it would be benificial to keep this cat around. This is all just an opinion so if you dont agree please dont bash me for my thought on this matter.
