'10 LA DT Risean Broussard

There is a new article on Scout about Broussard and his potential decommitment. Can any subscribers let us know what it says?

Actually, this guy was the 1st to mention it.

04-17-2009, 07:59 PM...back on page 3 in this thread.

That was the day he comitted...lol.

You were right, though...but so were a lot of others.

Yeah I was not looking for credit, I was joking because of the people on here who told me I was an idiot when I said Broussard was out. You can look up that thread and read the criticisms.

He says he's still committed, has a good relationship with Coach O & Frank Wilson, and everything is good between him & Tennessee.

I figured since InsideTennessee.com wrote the article that it would be what UT fans want to hear. Thanks for the info.

sorry ... but other than a first time poster can any subscribers let us know what it says?

“I keep hearing that rumor, there is nothing to it,” Broussard told InsideTennessee Monday night. “I’m still very much committed to Tennessee.”

and..

“I would love to get up there and see a game,” Broussard said. “I still have a great relationship with Coach (Ed) Orgeron and Coach (Frank) Wilson. Everything is good with Tennessee and me.”

That's great and all, but his grades are still going to be a problem.

Has the La Tech rumors died down?

I know he has said he is still committed, but whats the likelyhood that changes, if he can't get in?

If Broussard makes it in, look out. He seems to have the frame to play early and will surprise people with his explosiveness.

Does it look like he is a sign and place or is he borderline he makes it in? With P. Harris and Brown as only possibles now we don't have any true DT coming in and depth isn't that good (my opinion: V.Thomas and Nelson are washes)

It had been said a while back that his grades were so bad that he had virtually no chance at qualifying. We pushed for him early so we must like him. I just doubt he makes it in.

Which is why we want to sign-and-place him. The only issue with that is new SEC rules make it hard to do that and it seems he would much rather go somewhere like LA Tech where he can play from Day 1.
