'10 LA DT Risean Broussard

blamie..... not so sure orgeron wilson can't retain him

I like our chances to keep even with LSU offer

Well here comes an offer from LSU and there goes Brousard's commitment to UT
LSU has not failed to offer because of a lack of talent. It is grades that have them concerned. Broussard is not currently on track to qualify.

I do as well. We obviously have a head start in this race and Orgeron is GREAT at getting guys that wouldn't otherwise qualify in to school. He has quite a few tricks up his sleeve. There is a lot of loyalty tied to that.

IMO..and this is just a gut feeling...this kid wants to commit to LSU...

I heard his interview on the Sports Animal right after he committed and he basically made it clear he will still look around and LSU has always been his favorite...

But I do have alot of faith in O's ability so if anyone can overcome that home state advantage it's him

Some have suggested that LSU would let Orgeron get his grades in order and then decide to offer him. As Orgeron said in Meat Market though, that's the risk you take.

That is very true but you would hope that these kids would show some loyalty to the people that took the risk to offer and get him qualified.

One thing we can say for sure...beyond any shadow of a doubt...is that our defensiver coordinator is a much better recruiter than theirs...

So maybe that will offset the home state thing

I'm not sure why LSU hasn't offered. Whether it is grades or the fact that he's hardly played any high school football. It should be interesting to see what happens with him.

Exactly. That's the hope.

From Barton Simmons on Risean's performance at the Houston Nike camp where he was one of the "hot 11" at the camp. SIAP.

Broussard is incredibly talented but extremely raw. His athleticism is evident in everything he does. He has quick, active feet and a lot of strength in both his upper and lower body. Currently, Broussard has no pass-rush moves to complement his bull rush and is still learning how to utilize his remarkable athleticism.

This is basically what I see happening. If he doesn't get his grades, he's JuCo and then goes to LSU out of there.

“I have over eight offers now,” Broussard told InsideTennessee.com “Nebraska and Michigan are my latest two. UT offered first, everyone else has followed with offers after that.”

“Those two coaches (Wilson, Orgeron) are like family to me,” Broussard said. “Coach O is one of the best defensive line coaches in the country. I trust those guys to take good care of me and to prepare me for the next level."

How does Broussard feel about his pledge to Tennessee?

“I feel really good about it,” Broussard said. “I feel really strong about it, I’m sticking with UT."

Per Scout... He currently has offers from UT, Michigan, Nebraska, Alabama, Texas A&M, Miss St., Oklahoma, and Oregon. Impressive...

Next up...4th star per Rivals...and an offer from LSU...

Hope this enthusiasm sticks once that offer comes

I hate when people do this, but any news? I've been searching and can't find anything on how he looked in his first game back.
