Offensive tackle Arie Kouandjio of Hyattsville (Md.) DeMatha Catholic has more than 30 offers, but word has it that Alabama, Florida, Tennessee and Cal are out in front right now, with LSU also in the mix. Kouandjio wants to cut his list to five schools by the end of the summer, then decide after his senior season.

OL Arie Kouandjio (6-6 314) of Hyattsville, MD said Tuesday he has reduced his list from over 40 offers to 14, and USC is one of the teams to make the cut. Kouandjio did not want to reveal the entire list until it is reviewed by his coach who is out of town until next week. "I want to see what he thinks about the list," Kouandjio said. He will take an unofficial visit to Iowa this weekend. That will be his final visit before his team starts practice next Wedneday.

That's USC lite for those paying attention. I think Alabama leads for this kid.

"I'm probably going to wait till January or February to make a decision. I'm taking my time with everything. I plan on taking all five of my official visits. Most of my games this year are on Saturdays so I will wait till after my season to take my official visits. I'm really wide open right now. There isn't any schools that are standing out."

They play games on Saturdays what....

In highschool, we played a team (Bellaire OH) that played home games on Saturdays during the daytime due to the fact that the man who donated the money to build the stadium, for some reason, made them agree to never put in lights.

Alot of school in the inner city play games on Saturday during the day due to gang violance. Also alot of schools don't have lights so they don't have much choice. Not a bad idea if they play like around 9am, that makes for a good day of football

Also, I believe some can't have lights do to building codes in larger cities. Some schools are located in the middle of residential housing areas.

down to 8: Alabama, Cal, Miami, Maryland, New Mexico, Notre Dame, Tennessee and Wake Forest.

Tennessee seems like a good opportunity to play early, they play in the SEC which is great football and the coaches are recruiting me hard.

A top QB and Kouandjio are the most important guys for us to get right now. We really need 4 total OL that are 4 star or better. Lineman imo are the toughest to evaluate from highschool to college. However, I think this guy has future star potential.

He and his brother can be the new Pounceys.

Freakish looking builds. How can you be 6'7 and 340 and look cut like a MLB?

I asked Matt to interview this guy and he delivered. Now, I am asking the UT staff to get him here at Tennessee. I hope they can deliver.

I wonder wrote that article and conducted that interview MHF? Hmm...

We have very little to no shot. He and Ego will both end up at Miami IMO. I'd put our chances at about 4%.
