Kid has switched HS's for undisclosed reasons. Possible behavior issues as a recruit

I'm surprised at how many of these upper-level players switch schools so late in their high school career. I wonder how the relocation stats would compare between 3 star + athletes and regular students.

I'm hearing that UF is no longer recruiting Hampton b/c of behavior issues. That is only what I'm hearing from uppers in recruiting at UF. This has been imminent for a while now.

Yeah I heard the same. Behavior issues have caused friction between victor and the UF staff. Hampton might end up going elsewhere. It doesn't really matter. There are so many DB's on UF's board. And UF really doesn't need anymore behavior issues.

Amen to that. But behavioral issues from a high schooler is one thing, behavioral issues in a college program is another. By your statement, you're implying that your staff does not have the ability to control kids with behavioral issues once they get to campus; whereas, our staff will gladly accept the challenge of molding marginal kids into young men, student/athletes. Our kids and our recruits know there will be consequences for the actions and that is the bottom line.

I think our coaches have proven they aren't afraid to take a kid with some baggage.

If they feel they can keep him out of trouble then bring him on.

Per Rivals:

On switching from Independence HS in Charlotte (NC) to Darlington HS (SC):

"It's great. I think this is going to help me being here because of all the family I'll have around to support me," Hampton told GatorBait.net. "I have all this family here and I already feel more comfortable than I did up there."

In his last update here on the network Hampton said that since his commitment to Florida, two programs had remained in contact - Tennessee and South Carolina.

Rumor has it that we have him on a very short leash and he may not be to pleased. I don't see him decommitting yet but we do have quite a crowded DB board.

We could steal/get this kid from Florida. Some people have said that Florida is really cooling on him because of some behavorial issues, as long as the kid can come in & contribute to this team im fine with taking a chance on him. This staff has already shown its way more disciplined than the previous, if you mess up your gone.

As a gator fan, I agree with you that I think we are cooling on him a bit (not necessarily saying he won't be in our class). It's a lot harder for us to take a risk on a kid with behavioral issues because of some of the stupid things our players have done. It also may depend on how we stand with Cody Riggs who our staff likes a lot at CB. We also have an outside shot at Joyner but we are probably just another hat for him.

I know that it probably won't happen but nothing would please me more than to take Joyner and Riggs away from Meyer.

His hatred for Kiffin would jump to new levels.

Florida is not much of a factor with Joyner at this point. The team to beat is likely FSU.

Ok, gatorfans, we get it. You all now think he has behavioral problems, and your coaches really don't want him anymore anyway. This broken record is getting old.
I'm perfectly comfortable stealing another player from Urban.
