Tennessee is another place that Shembo will likely visit.

“I like (defensive coordinator) Monte Kiffin,” he said. “He coached at Tampa and they always had a great defense. Plus, I love the SEC and Tennessee is always a top program.

“They send people to the league and even though they had an off year last season, they are definitely coming back,” Shembo said. “I think they’ll be back on top of the SEC soon. It’ll be them and Florida.”

jesus we are making so many finalist lists already. Let's say the average finalist list is 6 schools. Even if we only go 1 out of 6 on those recruits we would have a nice haul going into the spring with plenty of time to patch up the weaknesses. I'm beginning to think expecting great things is not going to be high enough expectations for this staff.

He said we are "pretty high up there" with Notre Dame, Virginia Tech, and North Carolina.

Well it seems that all the reporting of CLK being a loose cannon isn't really taking any effect on recruiting... Other than getting our name and brand logo on tv! Genius I tell you... Pure genius!

I was pleased with the remarks, but I'm not holding my breath until after he completes his visits, since this was his first trip out of state.

"I met with the linebackers coach (Lance Thompson), coach (David) Reaves (Shembo's recruiter), then they hooked me up with one of these hosts and we had an academic trip and toured the academic center. Afterwards went to see the dorms, they asked us if we had any questions, we looked around the campus, and we were just talking to different people about Tennessee.

He also said he plans on deciding before the end of the summer, but will still take officials and we will likely get one.

"He's taken visits to Tennessee and Notre Dame. He said both went really well and he enjoyed them," Ardrey Kell head coach Marty Woolbright said. "I know he has been to North Carolina, NC State and Virginia Tech in the past as well. He's expected to wait until the end of July to make a decision. well since i am a student, it only costs me 15 per game (or 90 for the year)
so it is safe to assume that if i had a dollar for every recruit that did this, i could go to a game

I think this kid is all ours. Geographically, UT isn't all that much farther from him than UNC and VT. He's made several comments that lead me to believe he wants to play in the SEC. And I think playing for Monte seals the deal. UNC worries me the most, because they could push hard for him since they have a big need for DE recruits in this class.

When ND fires Weiss at the end of the year, he and bailey will be available.

VT fan on the rivals main board said the feeling VT is getting is Shembo is heading to ND.

Both Chris Martin and recent Irish verbal, NC LB Kendall Moore, are working him pretty hard. Many think he'll be the next ND commit.

How would firing Weis help UT land Bailey?
