Further adding fuel to the fire, and making us think there’s a legitimate chance for Tennessee to add two big-time talents from the Big Apple is that we’ve learned this week that Pinkston and Harris have been in contact with one another, with the two chatting while Pinkston was on his visit in Knoxville.

And fwiw, FlVol53 just posted that he has been told than Harris will not be coming to UT. He says it's between Syracuse and Kentucky...

I don't think anyone really knows what he's going to do. The best guess is Syracuse. No one can count UT out of it for sure at this point.

Saying they talked about playing together is just plain fabricating the context of any conversations the two have had.

Not good news coming from 53.

All I'm saying is I've followed the Harris recruitment closely, and this is the first time I've seen a mention of Harris and Pinkston talking about playing together.

Now 53 on TOS is saying he heard West Va. or Tennessee.

Rumors will by flying until Nov. 19th.

FlVol53 originally said Tennessee was out of it, and that it was between Syracuse and Kentucky.

Now, a different source comes out and tells him its between Tennessee and West Va.

If someone outside of Tobias' immediate family claims to know which school he's favoring, they're lying.

I've always thought it was going to be orange of some kind, either us or 'Cuse. I don't think he fits what Huggie Bear is trying to do. I would love to have him. He fits a glaring need next year.

Syracuse and West Virginia are definitely serious players in the Harris sweepstakes. Joe Alexander at the point-forward position seemed to fit in quite nicely with what Huggins is trying to do. I'm sure Huggins has been selling the same role to Tobias.

What kills me is how much of a bust Alexander is and will continue to be, but he Huggie will sell him as a lottery pick. I hope Harris doesn't buy it.

Just that he thinks UT has a good chance to land them both and that he was told Syracuse won't get Harris. We'll see...

I can't remember for sure if he said it was down to UT and WVU, but it was UT and someone else...

I honestly would much rather get Tobias Harris than anyone on our football board. If we miss on, say, Jeff Luc (who I'd love to get), we'll find another quality LB. But, Bruce really needs Tobias. Our football staff is awesome, but football recruits will generally be easier to come by for us than basketball recruits, because of our history. Not that I'm saying anything you guys don't already know.

I was going to say I went on his recruiting profile page on Scout and Tennessee was listed. Hopefully we'll get him.

hearing he (and Pinkston) will be a Vol from someone I am fairly confident in...he claims that this one is all but over.
