Kid is wicked smart. 32 ACT and 3.94 GPA.

With this kid's intelligence and his arm, he could go a long way. I wonder if he is waiting for a Vandy/Stanford type of school to offer for the educational experience or if he wants to play championship caliber SEC style football?

When I heard the announcers raving about this QB I at first chalked it off to luck or wierd pandering; but the more I saw Marcoux play QB the more I was impressed. Good arm, great field presence & savvy. Some BCS team is gonna give this kid a serious look!

Unless they were talking academics, it isn't that special because it doesn't exist. Ivy's don't give athletic scholarships.

That is true but it is a farce. Schools that have non-scholarship football teams can give achievement scholarships for excellence in athletics.

Is that similar to the annual Montgomery Burns Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Field of Excellence?

Did anybody else watch the reality show? I thought it was a real good show. The coaches that were working with him in the show were all saying that this kid had NFL stuff.

trailer from the show if you missed it- http://www.taketheride.tv/

At 6'5" and 235 with an arm like that, not sure what you mean about reaching his ceiling quickly.

Are you talking about the mental aspect of the position?

Anyone know anything new about whether or not he will get a D1a offer? I would be shocked if one of the northeast schools (uconn, cuse, bc, rutgers, buffalo) didn't give this guy a shot.

I know we really don't need another QB....but if I were CDD...I may roll the dice and offer the kid. Imagine the story line to that.....New under rated coach, offers the lil reality show no name QB a big time offer.....and The kid wins the starting job as a Soph. and throws for 25 TD's. Go Vols.:eek:k:

No. One game doesn't make a player.

and

No, we won't take another class in this class unless it is Nance with Rogers.

I didn't say that, but he did put on the best performance out EVERY QB there, and if you dont think so then you're crazy.

I didnt say that, I said one game doesn't make him a player on everyone's list. He has the offers he has for a reason. His body of work didn't warrant an offer, his 30 seconds of fame doesn't either. JMO.
