i say hicks is the best linebacker because we are considered to be more in the running for him.

if they dont wanna come here, then they dont have much going on upstairs

Luc is slightly overrated IMO, because he hits like a freight train. It won't be the same for him in D-1 as he won't be able to get by purely on his freakish athleticism. He'll need to learn to wrap up and take better angles. His pass coverage skills are questionable at beast.

Hicks is a better prospect for the Tampa 2 in my eyes. Better speed and coverage skills than Luc.

Dude is a freak. But I think Luc might already be close to his ideal playing shape.

Hicks has a lot more to gain from a D-1 strength & conditioning program. After a year in a S&C program like UT's, Hicks would be laying people out like Luc. I really, really like Hicks' upside as a SLB or WLB in a defense like the Tampa 2 where he can fly around the field and make plays.

I'm sure Luc would play MLB in a scheme like UT's, so Hicks and Luc aren't really the best for trying to make comparisons.

Hopefully Smith will stay around and work Hicks into an all american. I say Texas will still be the team 2 beat, and u would think OSU would be the leader, but it is way 2 early, probably a NSD commit.

OSU/Texas/Florida are alll waaaaayyyyy out ahead of us right now in terms of getting Hicks. At the very best we're 4th for him right now.

Why is it that when I hear that UF is ahead of us in recruiting someone, it feels like a combination of something dying inside of me, and throwing up in my mouth a little??

Hicks in a recent story with Scout.com said Ohio State, Texas, USC, Florida, Georgia and Alabama were the schools that have been holding his attention. And all six schools are now the official “Top Six” the Scout.com 5-star linebacker will choose from at a later date.

Starting every year top 5 in the nation, even though they haven't won a significant game in years is a plus for tOSU. News agencies eat up theor players. Like jenkins gettin the reward over berry even though berry's stats tripled his. They play against a 2nd tier confrence but are treated like gods. Why wouldn't they go there.

Oh please. Jenkins was the best cover corner in the country last year. You can't even compare stats from that to a safety.

He didnt outplay berry, but he did play good. What hurt Berry is that he was on a losing team. I agree with Brett, you cant compare Jenkins and Berry. BUT, Berry is obviously better.

I don't know about outplayed. It's just too hard to compare the value of a shutdown corner to an electric safety. I'd take the corner every day though. I think Berry may be the better player and more valuable to us than Jenkins is to OSU, but I think that Jenkins had the better year overall and was aided by his body of work.

Hicks is the real deal and an all around athlete. I saw him play last year and was very impressed. There was an article in the paper yesterday that as posted before, he has cut his list down to 5 with no mention of Tennessee. OSU bound.

That is hilarious. Yes they got blown out in the 2 NC games and at USC.....but you cant act like they havent won any big games. I would GLADLY take their programs accomplishments this decade over ours any day, and twice on Sunday. Dont throw stones when you live in a cracking glass house yourself.

Dude your a troll. Yall are a decent school in a degrated confrence. You are over rated year in and out. And you have not done much this decade except in the firts year or so. Winning thw big ten is nothing big. You don't have a championship game. Go back to THE worst school and confrence and on the way smoke on a tail pipe it will help you feel better
