We're not getting Jones so that is 1 of 3. I don't think he has as many ties to go to OSU as everyone thinks. He didn't grow up in ohio so I don't think it would be as hard as some people think to get him out of state.

I'm not saying we get him, but I think it is pretty close right now. I would like him to visit again for the FSU game.

Will be a Buckeye guys. That bit of info comes straight from one of his coaches....take it for what you will.

1. Lakota West coaches (IMO they have a terrible coaching staff) push their players to OSU.

2. I will be shocked if Hicks ends up at Florida.

3. If he doesn't go to OSU, it will be Texas. Texas is his childhood favorite but he has a ton of pressure to go to OSU.

4. I saw him once again on Saturday in the playoffs against Anderson in a 24-21 loss for West... and I'm still not seeing him as an elite prospect. He is a very good athlete but not a great player at this point. Fundamentals and instincts need a lot of work. Their most impressive prospect IMO is OT Kevin Schloemer who had some real good offers in his own right (including LSU).

Note: West has probably the worst coaching staff in SW Ohio. They always underachieve as a program. They are down 24-21 on Saturday with less than 2 minutes to go in the game...have a 4th and short...and PUNT LOL Never got the ball back. Maybe the kid just isn't well coached right now and he's better than I think.

The same argument has been said about Luc as well. People who have seen him play multiple times say that he doesn't have great lateral quickness and is partially a product of his highlight reel on youtube in terms of how high he's rated

Poster on VQ (reliable) saying Hicks may have UT in top 3.

I'm hearing from other sources that with lack of depth we are offering him an almost-guaranteed starting spot and throwing the "Monte Kiffin" thing at him. Apparently it's between Texas, OSU, and Tenn with UF having an outside shot at this point.

I haven't heard that one either, I have heard UF is making a strong push for Hicks...Heard they want him over C.Jones and many people around UF feel that they are in a good spot for him. Honestly I don't know much about hicks and I could be totally wrong, my info is based off UF contacts which is always scary.

I've heard we have as good a shot as any, but there hasn't been really any update on him for a while. Just know that his top 3 are/were Texas, Florida, and Ohio State in no particular order.

His top three are OSU, Texas, and UF. Now that his team is done and out of the playoffs he will focus on recruiting. He has said he might still visit USC and UA but I doubt it. I believe the other three is where he will decide between.

BTW regarding early playing time, any school he goes to he will get it. He is that good. His final five are Texas, UF, Ohio S, Bama, and USC. He will take his last visit Dec 11th to UF. I doubt he visits anyone else now. This is from last week.

I know we like him over Luc. Rumors are flying that the staff isn't that high on Luc and prefer Jones or Hicks over him. Obviously, they still want Luc but they may want Jones or Hicks more.

We may go 0 for 3 with the "BIG 3" but we could land two of the three if Hicks and Luc return this weekend plus the talk of Tony Jefferson and Tyler Smith at olb may be secondary plan for lb's.

So, why was Meyer at Luc's game Thursday?

Duh, to tell Luc that UF doesn't want him any longer, and being the stand-up guy CUM is, he wanted to do it in person.

It's funny how the UF trolls now say they don't want Luc, or have "cooled" on him, when indicators point to him coming to UT.

If he does go to UF, these said trolls will be here talking shat about getting him.

Interesting how that works.

CUM must like his 18 year old boys to have fluid hips.

Uf still deff wants Luc but they prolly have hicks higher on the board. Missing on all 3 of those LB wud b a huge dissapointment even though we got some great young talent at the position.

It's called intelligent recruiting. If your first choice isn't a sure thing, then it's a good idea to show some love to your #2 guy.

Pretty simple, you should be able to grasp that.
