Urban sure does know how to recruit. Floyd has had a lotta trouble in his background with his family and it really is a great story. Urban loves those kind of kids. He establishes great relationships with them and becomes a father figure to not only those, but the rest of the kids as well. We are very lucky and blessed to have Meyer recruiting for UF.
Meyer reminds me of the Alec Baldwin character in "Malice"... When he dreams about god speaking to him... it comes pretty easy in his mind since he'd be talking to himself.
The guy is a certifiable narcissist. He is so in love with himself that he's incapable of genuine love for anyone but himself. Part and parcel to that is an instinctive ability to manipulate others with "love"...
That's also why he can retire one day for the good of his health and family only to rescind it without conscience the next.
Most good coaches have huge egos... Meyer goes beyond that.
