'10 PREP OL Morgan Moses

it is being reported that he is certain to leave the state

Well...you have to think that puts us in the lead since it was us and UVA and he's leaving the state...

But I just have a hard time getting too excited about recruiting since our coaching situation is so unstable at this point...

It's hard to get fired up about who is coming and who isn't when a coaching change could lead to a great number of these prospects backing out of their commitment

OT Morgan Moses, Richmond (Va.) Meadowbrook: Moses is a tough one to call because there are many schools left on his list. He took an official to West Virginia, but in-state schools Virginia and Virginia Tech will push hard and Tennessee, LSU, Georgia and Florida could be attractive options. Put him in the same category as Jenkins: a wait-and-see guy.

Sorry guys, posts deleted. I get emails of prospects we are following. I didn't look at it that carefully but I have no idea how that kid got on my list.

Tell the truth freak. You were just pimping out your next door neighbor's nephew who wants to go to UT but isn't getting any love.

I wish I had that good of an excuse. I'm just sleepwalking today.

Now that his senior season has ended with a 17-14 loss to Varina in the playoffs, Richmond (Va.) Meadowbrook offensive tackle Morgan Moses is ready to start focusing on the recruiting process. What schools will get a look and potentially an official visit?

Moses has four official visits left to schedule."We lost a tough game so it was disappointing but we had a good senior season and we played hard," said the 6-foot-7, 347-pounder. "Now I guess I'm going to be talking to a lot more coaches and start to get my official visits set up. I was hoping to make my decision at the U.S. Army All American Bowl but I don't think I'll be ready by then. I think I'll need to take visits after that."

Moses has already taken an official visit to West Virginia so he has four such visits left to take. He has been playing phone tag with Ohio State coaches about a possible trip and he's talked to Alabama as well.

"I haven't been able to talk to Ohio State," he said. "They called my dad back but we weren't around. I'm interested in taking a look up there. With Alabama they want me to visit after their season is over so they have this weekend and then the SEC Championship Game so I probably won't be able to visit there until January."

In addition to the Buckeyes and Crimson Tide, Moses is interested in quite a few other schools.

"I've been to Tennessee a couple of times and would like to see who they hire as head coach," he explained. "I have a really good relationship with coach Scott there so hopefully he stays. I've also been to Florida and am interested in going back. West Virginia is still in there for me and I'm also looking at Virginia, Virginia Tech, Georgia and Florida State. You can put North Carolina in there a little bit, I visited there but I'm not as high on them as the others."

Moses, who is ranked as the No. 1 offensive tackle in the country, said the contact he's had with the coaching staffs at each school has been key.

"I have a good feel for coach Scott at Tennessee like I said and I like the coaches at Alabama, they want me to redshirt and come in and be like Andre Smith. Other schools don't think I need to redshirt and I'd prefer to play as a freshman, but I'll make my choice based on many different things."

Moses has no leaders at this time and hopes to begin scheduling visits soon. He will be taking an unofficial visit this weekend to Blacksburg to see Virginia Tech host Virginia.

"I'm looking forward to the game," Moses said. "It's between the top programs in state and I like both schools."

Any chance Moses is still interested in TN? I know that Scott was his recruiter and he is still on the staff, so that has to help.

Scott's the reason for alot of the recuits will have now. It seems tht Lane wants all the members of the staff to be able to recruit.

If Scott is fired, it will be right after signing day

I hope that wouldn't be the case. If it is then it doesn't say much for Kiffin's character. At least give him a year and see what happens if you are going to let him continue recruiting for you.
