'10 RB Marcus Lattimore

Tennessee: "Their staff has a lot of energy. Coach (Lane) Kiffin is fun to be around. They had the whole day set up for me when I went there. They have the best facilities I've seen so far and I love how they have 100,000 fans there for their games.

Lot of these guys will wait just like they always have. They will watch the season and see how we perform. If we have a better season than last year we will see the flood gates open up for our recruits. It will be something else. :pepper:

if sc wins 6-7 games again and has trouble running the ball... he will go elsewhere

Yea we HAVE to show much improvement in the running game just to have a chance. We feel like we have slipped a bit with him but theres still a ways to go tho.

What are yalls chances of landing him?

did i accidently log onto cock talk or whatever you mouthbreathers call your ridiculous board, or did you just refer to uscjr as "we" on volnation? cuz we are not cocks and you should refer to you're school by it's proper name USCjr when speaking about it here.:)

Oh I thought yall were supposed to be USCjr.

i was banned from cockytalk for quoting a carolina fan. still go there just to look & get a few laughs. as for lattimore i think usc was only ever considered because they were a childhood fav. he isnt a child anymore tho. i live in duncan & went to & played at byrnes & my connections say he likes alot of schools & has no fav. i know for a fact he wants a chance for immediate playin time, prefers the sec, & wants to play for a winning program. how alot of teams do this season will affect his decision for sur

at the nike camp at UGA.

ATHENS, Ga. -- Many of the Southeast's top offensive prospects competed at Saturday's Nike Football Training Camp at the University of Georgia. Running back Marcus Lattimore (Duncan, S.C./James F. Byrnes) and a loaded group of receivers, led by Under Armour All-American receiver Tai-ler Jones (Gainesville, Ga./Gainesville) were the show-stoppers.

Lattimore easily captured the running back MVP. He was impressive in the position and dominated the one-on-ones.

"There was good competition here," he said. "There were some good linebackers here that did not have very many offers, but I think they should start getting some. It was good to win the MVP award. There are some good running backs here and the competition is good."

Auburn remains the leader. Georgia and Florida State are locks, along with the Tigers, to get official visits. At the end of the summer, Lattimore plans to announce which other two schools he will visit officially. North Carolina and South Carolina will get unofficial visits in early June and he will camp at Penn State this summer.

Trooper is going after running backs hard in this class. Auburn seems to think they lead for Lattimore, Seastrunk, and Dyer. I doubt very seriously any of them wind up at Auburn though.

This much is clear for right now: Auburn still leads for his services. The Tigers were able to take command after Lattimore had an outstanding unofficial visit to The Plains last weekend. Head coach Gene Chizik and recruiter Trooper Taylor both laid out the red carpet for Lattimore and that's going to stick with him for a while.

"I just liked the whole city," he said. "The academic people were great. I loved the coaches and just liked the whole environment."

Auburn is strong now and is a legitimate contender to land Lattimore, but it's hard to say the Tigers have a better shot than Florida State. Before his trip to Auburn, Lattimore had an outstanding unofficial visit to Tallahassee, and the Noles have a lot going for them here.

Dyer will hopefully be a VOL in a package deal with TE Mosley. Think he will like what he sees when he comes to Camp in June.

I just do not see UT signing a great rb this year with BB already on his way. Maybe if we redshirt the RB stud for this class, we could get one, assuming BB is 3 and done.
