'10 SC DE Corey Miller

Preciate it. Hye one last question. I know it doesn't pertain to recruiting but why was our defensive line being destroyed the other day? We have size and speed but no result.

The DL is undersized except Williams and they probably wore down because there isn't much depth.

Weight doesnt determine leverage. If it did the zone blocking scheme would be dead.

I would argue that...
weight plus speed equals force.
force plus angle equals leverage.
greater leverage equals advantage in positioning.

There are thousands of football players in all levels with height and weight... and even speed but with no instinct for positioning (leverage being a huge factor) you end pumping gas, stealing cheeseburgers with an air pistol etc., etc.

Back to the point ...weight is significant.

Leverage is about who gets lower, that's basicly it. I was an extremely small lineman who had to use leverage to get any playing time. It's Mass x velocity that equals force. Leverage is just the amount somebody can get lower. The last one is true though.

It's really mass x acceleration that equals force, but who's counting, I guess.

Wow!!

I hope neither of you took a physics 101 course...

If you did you clearly failed it...

Force = mass x acceleration

That's what we call Nuclear Fission. I took physics last year as a junior in high school and made a mistake.
Don't get stuck associating e=mc^2 with only nuclear fission, it applies across many realms.

That's how I know it. What are the other things it can be?
Actually applies to any object in motion, but only really has an effect on objects moving at relativistic speeds. For example, an object moving at the speed of light will have infinite mass and it will take infinite energy to reach that speed. Also applies to nuclear fusion.

I really like Miller as a recruit but he didn't exactly do much in the game today, hence not a whole lot to talk about.

These games are deciptive. In whichever allstar game it was Donald looked pretty good. Clausen looked horrible as he did his freshmen year. And right now he looks like an NFL QB. So some guys come to these games just for the fun and are not focused or may have an injury. We do not know. Some guys come down and have something to prove.
