Rivals100 defensive tackle Kelcy Quarles has been committed to South Carolina for over a year now, but Tennessee and North Carolina are coming hard at the big defender. He plans to visit both schools in the near future.

His sick father needs to understand that team loyalty should take a backseat to his son's career. Kelcy will get a hell of a lot more coaching under Coach O and Monte than SCjr, and then when draft day comes around, those SCjr coaches don't have any where near the level of contacts/friends/ former colleagues in the NFL that this staff has. THAT is CLK's Ace card...and it gets very little media attention, but I tell you what...when you're looking at maybe going late in the first round or falling into the 2nd or third, instead of going into the Top 5-10 overall...simply because Monte talked face to face or on the phone with the staff on those teams and TOLD THEM TO TAKE YOU....we're talking several million dollars difference here.

Discount that if you want to, but I'd much rather have Monte, CLK and Coach O in my corner come draft day than ANY group of coaches in the the entire NCAA....period. He needs to think of this in terms of investing in his future. Which investment will pay higher dividends? It's just that simple.

DT Kelcy Quarles - Quarles is committed to South Carolina but he's on this list because he's looking around and will take at least one official visit. Tennessee is the big threat here, but I don't see him switching based on everything I've learned this week. He might still take his official visit to see the Vols on Jan. 15 and he has mentioned a possible official to North Carolina as well, but more likely than not he'll be a Gamecock come Signing Day despite his prediction to "shock the world".
