He's a teammate of quarterback Stephen Curtis. Their Sumter squad lost to powerhouse Byrnes in last year's state championship game.

It is Marquis, not Marques. The Rivals database is in conflict with his high school's team roster.

Kid had a strong showing today. One of the offensive MVPs of the camp. Stone, Fulton were the other two to get the award for the camp. If we have not offered this kid it sounds like we will soon.

New VolQuest article lists him at 275.

"I like Tennessee a lot, I love the campus and the stadium and everything is just great. The stadium and the locker room and stuff is really amazing" Pair said of his Tennessee experience. "If they offer they'd definitely will be one of my top schools.

I figured he had put some weight on with the way they were saying he dominated. He outplayed a much higher rated guy in James Stone.

"North Carolina, South Carolina, NC State, Auburn, Clemson and Tennessee are probably the [schools] I hear from the most.

"I really don't have any favorites right now. I'm just going to some camps and waiting to see which schools have the most interest in me."

Sounds like a guy that is going to commit to whoever shows him the most attention. I like our chances there if this is a guy they decide to go after.

food for thought. If he is a MVP and is underweight, dear god what will he do when he adds 30 40 pounds.

Pair is a projection because he is undersized weight wise, but he has good feet and good athletic ability. I think he left an impression on Monday.

Kid has the frame to be a beast. I wouldn't worry about the weight to much right now.

If he's 275 now, he'll be ok. Some muscle and some coaching, heck, we'll be ok if these OL keep coming in.
