I know we are all tired of this I heard from a friend of a friend thing but........I am in Harrison, TN and that's right beside Ooltewah. I don't know J. Smith but we do have some mutual friends. I am hearing that he has shown interest in LSU but does not want to move too far away from his grandmother. I think he will be a VOL and sure hope so, I watched him in some high school games and this kid is frikin awesome.

PS.....don't hang me for the i know a guy that knows a guy, I hate it as much as you do :)

It's cool.You didn't put it out there as fact. I think the kid is NFL material no matter where he plays. I know I'm biased,but I think he will do great here,and the Vol fans will show him all kinds of love for sticking with us,and for being a Tennessee native.

Thats great news!

I just hope everyone can really appreciate what he has meant..and will continue to mean to this years recruiting class. He has been THE most vital part of UT recruiting in the past year. When the coaches bailed, he stayed. Lets all remember that over the next 4 or 5 years and really support this guy. Lets also try to put ourselves in his shoes and be understanding of his hesitation this late in the process. Words can't express how much this could've really effected some of these kids.

Once again, I'm excited to have him back on board.

I am not sure why people were worried about him. Regarding UA we haven't been in contention for him since last spring. The only thing to say we were lately were people on here posting inside info from a friend of a friend that he was looking at us. I have never seen him mentioned on our board recently, only here on this board.

People need not to get to worked up unless you see a legit source. Way to many people on here will inside info.

BTW grats for keeping him a Vol. He will be a beast in the future for you guys.

I was never worried about Bama here. The main thing that concerned me with LSU was Chavis, since Smith originally committed to UT under Fulmer.

I would have been surprised if he went anywhere but UT in the end though.
