may have to check him out when I visit my parents in the fall. Cleveland is definitely a pro-UT town and with his comments in your last article, I'd definitely expect a signature if he was offered.

I saw this team play against Knox Powell. The whole team looked like a bunch of monsters. This kid looks like he needs a drive out tag on the field.

I'm thinking that once his film circulates...he will get some nice looks and offers...

Maybe we should be looking at big ole #74 on the white team with the silver helmet also.

on second thought maybe not. he looks like he is 6'10 350 though.

After watching the film a little closer, he doesnt seem like he will translate very well to the college game. If you watch, he seems to play really high and doesnt get off the ball all that well. I think the reason he looks so good in the film is he is playing against people who are smaller than he is. Its not that hard to pancake someone who is shorter and weaker than you are. I dont see him succeding at the college level against people who are just as big and strong as he is.

I really think this guy can translate with good coaching. and by the way. big guy that was playing for the white team #74 is the absolute worst defensive lineman ever. He can hardly move. I could block him.

Jared's a great guy, I had the privilege of playing with him in high school. Walker Valley (the team he plays for) went through a rough spell, to say the least, the last several years but now things are looking much brighter. Coach Ted Lockerby is slowly but surely improving things around there and Jared is going to be "one heck of a player" for somebody down the road and I sure hope its us. Btw I was incredibly surprised to see this on this board but i think he has earned it.

Can he pass block? He looked real good again the small DB's. What kind of competition was he playing against?:boxing2:

Region 4-4A... and its a spread offense but there wasn't much of a QB so most of it was an option game out of the 4 and 5 wide sets, but yes he can pass block

Does not get off the ball very well, and stands strait up with his second step. Unless he improves he is just a big kid pushing smaller ones around. He gets to the second level to block pretty well though

Yeah I know. I was just suprised at first to see someone that big. He must have been between 6'9 and 6'10. But yeah he sucked.

Anyways, Duke knows how to play the game. I haven't seen too many kids in high school football ever as good as him on the line. Plus, your getting a great kid that would be a great influence on any locker room.

That kid is huge and looks like he is quick. I think he could be coached into something great. I hear he is going to Jr. Day this weekend, I hope coach O sees him and gets him into camp!

Attended practice today, loved the intensity and Coach Chaney.

Grew up a TN fan dreaming of playing for them, says he's open though.

Going to the Louisville spring game and will visit MTSU.

Says he is 6-foot-6 and 336 pounds now.

Looks like he has 'heavy feet'. Consider the DE's and DT's he would be facing in the SEC... You can get bigger, stronger a little faster with hard work. You can improve technique with good coaching, but you can't coach quickness.

Though I would bump this thread to see if any opinions changed. I honestly think UT would really benefit to sign this kid. Really good guy that can honestly play the game. I have also heard he has a much better highlight video than the one on here that he is giving to coaches. Orangeblur, correct me if I'm wrong but I think he's planning on attending many many college camps this summer to check out all the schools and make this best overall decision for him. I honestly think after he goes to some camps he picks up some bigtime offers. Great kid would be an amazing pickup for any program.

Have you seen duke play. He is very talented and would learn very quickly and has all the physical tools. First off, he is more intelligent than 99% of the people we are recruiting. He can pick up off good coaching. The only time you've seen him play is in the youtube video. That is not enough to judge.
