'10 TN OL Jared Duke

I have faith in the coaches, but they are wasting too much time waiting on 5*s to commit, and they don't, so they are wasting time with other players they could have had.

Trust me, our coaches don't care if players they want commit elsewhere. They only care where they fax their LOI.

However, I do think this specific kid is a little overrated and that they have other prospects they are targeting.

D1 and Upper Echelon SEC are completely different.

Louisville's program is a Big East doormat right now along with Syracuse. U of L's last 3 recruiting classes have been awful and filled with JUCO's.

I for one hope Jared Duke has a great season and gives the staff more reason to look at him. Seems to me, he's got some great offers from some great academic institutions and his family must be mighty proud of him.

If the staff wants to build the fence we need quality OL like Duke. We're in dire need of god OL and I feel he can contribute.

Does not get off the ball very well, and stands strait up with his second step. Unless he improves he is just a big kid pushing smaller ones around. He gets to the second level to block pretty well though

That's why kids go to camp. To learn and improve. I bet he'll be a whole different player this year.

I guess the jury is still out on this one as far as a fence is concerned. Seems like he has good size and he's obviously smart, hopefully he can come along and impress on the field. I haven't seen any tape so I can't judge or critique, it would be nice to get some tennessee kids though.

The reason this kid isn't as highly toughted as stone for ex. is because he is a late bloomer when it comes to the recruiting world. From all the talk I'm hearing he could get several offers is the weeks to come. He was told if he performs on the field this year like he did at camps his offer list could double or even triple. Not saying it will just saying there is a chance (and a good one at that) that it will.

Man we are taking a beating on these in state boys and I thought the instate talent at O-line was going to make this class. Seems odd to me.

We never offered Duke and weren't ever going to offer. You can't exactly say we lost him. We just let him go.

Instate talent that we want. Pretty sure we weren't very interested in him.

One thing about it these coach only go after what they like, alot different than the last few years. I hope it means less gaps on our team.

He's solid Ole Miss. Even if Tennessee offered he still would be solid. (not saying they will but just stating).
