'10 TN OL O.C. Brown

Waiting to see if UT offers most likely, but it sounds like USM wants to wrap him up pretty soon.

How is this guy rated higher than Clemmons, Duke, ect... sounds like a good kid but dude just doesn't need to be that highly rated.

He probably is better than Clemmons and Duke, but yeah, he's pretty drastically overrated in the actual Rivals rankings

Good for the kid. I am glad he is going to get to play D-1 college football. And I am sure he will make the most of it.

I agree that he is overated by Rivals. Especially if you were at camp and saw him alongside a guy like Zac Fulton. I mean there was just no comparison. Of course Fulton was much much better than any offensive lineman there including James Stone.

Just hard to believe they have Brown a 4* and Fulton a 3*. Just shows how completely out of whack some of these rankings are.

Please go back and read the post I made about a month ago. O.C. was never "alongside Fulton." He wasn't in the A group.

I think he was meaning figuratively not literally. I think it's clear that Fulton looked great, thus the offer and commit, while O.C. was a disappointment.

He had one back in the summer. I could not find it either. I remember it because one of his HS coached talked about what schools were on him and his camp experience.

go figure, a rich white family takes in a promising football player and the reason for taking Brown in and not one of the other dozen or so poverty-stricken players is b/c "he had so much potential."

That might be the biggest RICHARD move I have seen on this board.

Last I heard, O.C. did not impress at UT camp this past summer. There has not been much heard about him since then.

:shades:

O.C. and the rest of his Manassas team were part of an Oscar-winning documentary called "Undefeated".

On a side note, I believe he also got an invitation to the NFL combine in Indianapolis.

After further checking, I cannot find O.C.'s name on the NFL combine list. Still, he was part of an Oscar-winning film.
